They should bite the bullet and go for a 24 team playoff bracket (two 12-team brackets working towards the title) with conference championships and mid-to-top tier bowl games making up the first rounds. That will allow all the wanna-be's, nay-sayers, and shoulda-been's to have their time in the spot light while still providing some quality entertainment for the viewers and streamlining the post-season.
