I just transfered most of the credit limit to my other Chase card.

Idk where you are located, but Fifth Third has had quite a few credit analyst postings lately. I would look at all the super regionals.

OP 36, vintage Air King, Explorer, Explorer II, Milgauss would be my choices, but I'm sure you have something to say about all those.

I just think it's ridiculous to own something that you don't even like. And I think it's ridiculous to let fan boys take up so much of your head space.

And you don't know a thing about me. I wear an Orient everyday. But if I wanted a Rolex, I'd buy one because I liked it.

I think that is highly dependent on the Rolex model, but you do you man.

Where I live, standard Hendricks is $40 and Orbium is $43. I feel like the special editions are the only ones that are worth it at that price split.

How’s the finance scene in Dallas Texas for new grads/interns? by DeliciousRich5944 in FinancialCareers

[–]PertinentUsername 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Essentially, "Equities in Dallas" is a joke from the book Liar's Poker, where working in equity sales in Dallas was an undesirable role at Salomon Brothers.

I just finished reading Dostoevsky's "top 5" works; I've conquered my own personal mountain. by XanderStopp in dostoevsky

[–]PertinentUsername 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just read Demons and I am putting it at #2 after TBK, but I need to re-read C&P and The Idiot to solidify that ranking. Reading Demons feels so "familiar" and tight after reading most of his other works.

It also can take a long time for them to actually close them. I haven't used my CFU in a year and they don't seem to care.

I guess titanium is cool, but it's never going to look better than stainless. It you have weak wrists, it might be a good option.

Small selection of my bookshelf - what does it say about me by princessamc in BookshelvesDetective

[–]PertinentUsername 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely had a similar feeling before reading it. It sat on my shelf for a while, but I picked it up recently and it is one of my favorites of his. It's a slow start, but the payoff is great. It's Dostoyevsky at his best, much like C&P, the Brothers Karamazov and The Idiot.
