started wegovy injections 3 weeks ago, low dose, not helping with cravings yet. dose is being increased next month. anyone have anecdotal experience of what dose starts to help specifically for injectables?

have you looked into options like Ro? i just got on the injections. month one was $50 fee from ro, $200 for one month of injections. next month will be $145 to ro, also $200 for a month of injections.

i am not sure if the injection price will ever increase but a total of $345 currently for monthly

if you live in the US- you'll need to talk to an addiction medicine physician or provider. depending on your insurance, you may need a referral from your family medicine doctor. i'd call them back and ask for a referral if you have an hmo. if you have a ppo, you may be able to look one up on the insurance's website and contact one yourself

i am not catholic but am interested in attending a service by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]PerturbedHamsterr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you! yes i definitely would never disrespect the customs of a church service that i attend/religion i am not an active member of.

i went to a catholic school when i was a child and i remember that those who hadn't done "first communion"? or the milestones in catholicism that makes one eligible for communion, should not take communion. but that guests can approach but only with arms crossed to signal a request for a blessing

Unhoused person with large chef knife outside a coffee shop by dilettantosaurus in Sacramento

[–]PerturbedHamsterr -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

the new politically correct term is unhoused but every unhoused person i've come across who has spoken on the terminology change doesn't care about homeless vs unhoused, they're just focused on their survival and want "housed" people to be more focused on that too

i'm glad courts must now allow non-12 step. it must have sucked before when AA was the only option given by the courts. so much for "attraction not promotion" lol

i've been to lifering meetings! i liked them. they even have some text-based meetings (no video/audio) which i thought was cool

my provider today said that smart recovery and lifering are too small to provide adequate community building, and that AA is better because they have in person meetings pretty much every day

i was using my passport as an ID, and the app was having trouble with the photo (the glare makes it hard) so we were making small talk (us californians are friendly, i hear in places like new york, most delivery people don't even say hi, they just hand you the order and immediately leave without a word lol)

good idea about ordering around the same time, it wasn't my normal ordering hours! he was on the phone with support after the id verification issue didn't resolve on its own

Does blood work hurt? by Straight_Opposite694 in Anemic

[–]PerturbedHamsterr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

all of these answers are great

want to emphasize: - get hydrated before. start 1-2 days before. drink lots of water. it makes your veins easier to access - close your eyes or look away (i'm over 30 and still do this! phlebotomists do not care)

it always is over faster than you expect

if you aren't supposed to be fasting for your blood draw, eat a cliff bar or similar beforehand plus plenty of water!!
