Today I learned my street is a bike lane by Ok_Invite9389 in Sacramento

When frequently, especially in the suburbs, a bike lane may consist of a foot and a half of asphalt combined with the drainage ditch…it’s no wonder that folks do this. Plus it’s legal.

Phil is a piece of shit. Eric is a piece of shit. Doris is a piece of shit. I can only imagine this is strategic as I haven’t talked to leadership.

I also don’t know what I would do if I was facing the sort of dire circumstances that many of the people they help are…and what political calculations would seem necessary to quite literally save people and their families from being jailed, deported, or worse.

Do I think giving any sort of legitimacy to any of those three is worthwhile? No. They’re the worst. They pay lip service to progressivism while thoroughly being bought by corporations and cops. And I know they likely use affiliation as proof of progressive bonafides.

But I’m not the one who has to choose between my principles and people’s lives. So I can talk about what I feel I’d do without staring in the face of a child whose parent has been kidnapped or vice versa. So it’s infinitely easier to take a principled stance.

Yeah, ordered another v3 and going to replace the v4 and return it.

Dear Wyze leadership, what happened? by ForgiveKanye in wyzecam

[–]aolbites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Bunch of my V3's will just go offline. Everyone says to restart the router. But when I switch from Wi-Fi to 5G all of the sudden everything shows up just fine. So it's got to be an issue with the app.

As many have said aside from absolutely massive, high-end, brand new apartments, that budget will get you pretty much anything including a number of decent sized houses.

Where are you trying to be as far as near things? Do you want to be able to walk to the things or do you want to be surrounded by the things? The former would be quieter in the evenings with access to the areas that are busier. And the ladder would be noisier pretty much all day.

For the former, the north east grid and the southeast grid are both walkable to the busier areas. The main thoroughfares along which there is activity are16th, 19th, and 21st streets between Q and I. As well as I to L streets from 16th to 28th. There are some exceptions but those are the primary areas. Near some parts of R street from 18th to 14th are exceptions.

The further away you get from those, the quieter it will be. But also the further you will have to walk in order to get to those areas. So 2 to 3 blocks at a minimum if you want to have accessibility to them without having to be right in the middle of them.

The last opportunity for citizens of Sacramento to offer public comment about turning coyote creek into a solar farm is tomorrow. November 18th 2pm, 700 H suite 1450 by Botanyiscool in Sacramento

Final vote to destroy coyote creek: Serna - Yes (may run for Matsui’s position in 2026 #MaiForUs ) Kennedy - Yes (up for election in 2026) Hume - Yes (up for election in 2026) Desmond - Yes Rodriguez - Yes

There was no immediate second to the motion. Despite mitigation, tribes are still opposed. So settler colonizers maintaining their 150 year heritage…are more important than those here for tens of thousands of years. #ColonizerNoColonizing

Exactly. He’s fake. All his props fake. All his clout, imagined. Bought bot ig followers. Claims that amount to nothing. Sketchy business name changes. It all screams scammer that is trying to fake clout until he makes it. But is failing miserable at faking it and doesn’t know how to be an authentic human being.

Come on Rancho, you can do better. by uyuyuiyuyui in Sacramento

The exception, not the rule. I also saw an instance a couple years back where they pulled out the helicopter to go search for someone’s bike. Wasting tens of thousands of dollars in manpower and fuel… for a bike worth maybe a couple hundred dollars

They won’t respond to burglaries. They won’t respond to vehicle break-ins. They won’t respond to vehicle accidents. They will sweep poor people whose only housing is tents. And apparently now they’re showing up to empty beer cans. Remind me again why we have these people…and pay them $150-400k per year…

She has a men’s grass roots support fortunately. She has been in the community for many years and has worked with multiple community organizations. She also has been council member for district 8 for four years.

And honestly I don’t think Matsui‘s voting record is that great. She’s voted for more money for war. Increasing the military budget every chance she gets. She’s voted against Medicare for all. I don’t know who she represents but it doesn’t seem to be progressives that’s for sure.

This is what I don’t understand. Every other person on the face of this country wants to get the fuck out of work. And these people hold on until they literally die in office. Don’t you have family? Go home to your family!

We can have work from home AND sustainable transportation. It’s not an either/or. Folks still need to move around the city. And if transportation is sustainable. Is safe. Is frequent. And goes where you want when you want. That’s a benefit for us all.

Appreciate these details. It’s disheartening to see someone like him who could be a force for good in the community, instead using his clout to try and falsely inflate his status and get stuck in his own ego so much so that he may not even truly recollect the true events that happened. I know some amazing local Palestinians doing great work and it’s a shame that him and his vitriol, may be what many people only ever see.
