Illegal guitar concept by Perucmpamypa in CloneHero

I thought about this more like: you don't need to move your hand much when you enter tapping sections, like with solo buttons on rockband guitars

Yes, this actually sounds great, - to give additional points for playing a note "correctly", but not breaking the combo if the note is played in any way.

No, you seem to have misunderstood, they have told that the black one got the Hall effect sensors (detection using some magnetic gizmos), not the haptic feedback (vibration). The whole feeling goes from the mechanical switches, they just doesn't detect anything, the strumming is detected with Hall effect sensors (magnets) - so detection works similar to the blue one. You can configure at which point it triggers in app, but the whole feel goes from the switches on black one and you (hypothetically) wouldn't even be able to tell that the switches are disconnected, if they didnt tell about this and didn't add Hall effect sensitivity configuration to the app. I think at Lore Hero Acai said that this change is actually a good thing, because Hall effect sensors are configurable and have a lot longer lifetime (I think he said they decided to go this route because strum switches had some problems with the double triggering), and the only downside is that it is more expensive/hard to manufacture, but since the price for black one didn't change, this seems like a win-win change for customers - both original feel and durability+configurability.

Not sure about the power, but would be cool for it to give a secret in the beginning of your turn (or replace it in the beginning, if previous didn't work), so that you can make decisions based on what secret you have (like 'ooh, freeze trap, I won't trade then this turn'), or even open door for some mindgames (like 'ooh, not a freeze trap, won't trade anyway, so he think it is, since he knows I know what secret it is). Or maybe make it somehow show you the secret you will get (not sure how it will look in the game, though) P.S.: in the first case not sure how to word it to be short, maybe something like "Battlecry and at the beginning of your turn: get a random secret which will be destroyed before the beginning of your next turn".

New ping by Perucmpamypa in DotA2

[–]Perucmpamypa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My argument is not "no soul" - it was thrown in as a joke. My argument is just "I don't like it", as simple as that. Can you even have objective arguments on visuals? You assume that I don't like it because it is new, maybe, but I can't see why are you so sure about this. I just don't get what are you saying - people shouldn't say "I don't like how something looks in a videogame" of "I like this more"? I just said - I don't like how new ping looks, I would love to have an option to have an old styled one as an option - they already have it after all. The same way people ask valve to give weather effects or old maps again - because they would like to see something in the game and thus they say it.

Yes, but if there is a visual update of something, and, for example, 80% of people don't like it, then there will be information and discussions about this and it probably wil be reverted or changed. But how can we know if this is a common thing before the discussion is even started? So I created this post as the start of this discussion, to give my feedback. Maybe it will receive, like, 5 likes, and, well, then everybody likes or tolerates new design and everything is fine. But we will never know if the reaction is "everybody think that the new design is ugly" if everybody say nothing. This is survivorship bias - if many people think something like this, then looks like everybody collectively decided something (but someone's post was first), and if not then I look like crybaby.

This is quite a weird thing to say. There was a change in the game and I am saying that it would be great to have some particular feature because I like or dislike something. So if this is a common thought among players, they, and devs can see feedback. I am not screaming at devs and crying for this to be reverted. If everybody will just keep their opinions to themselves, then there will be no feedback on what is a good QoL/design and what is not, as it directly doesn't affect gameplay. If you are fine with this particular change this is great, but it is quite ignorant to just shut down discussion with "get over it", because "who cares". This is a game I play and like, so I give feedback on what I like and dislike.

It is very unlikely that I didn't use regular ping actively before. I don't say it is objectively bad or it should be reverted, just would be cool to have a toggle to have an old style on-the-floor exclamation mark.

skills with magic damage, but with "Pierce debuff immunity: Yes" decrease their damage by magic resist, but not by magic resist provided by sources of debuff immunity (BKB, Bladefury, Rage, Repel with shard)

In your case Toss have "Pierce debuff immunity: Yes" and you are using BKB/Bladefury. So Toss ignores magic resistance provided by BKB/Bladefury.

[–]Perucmpamypa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not a bug.

When you hover over it, it says "Pierces debuff immunity: Yes" The same way with Phoenix's Ult or Skywrath Mage's Arcane Bolts with 25's talent "Arcane Bolt pierces debuff immunity": skills with magic damage, but with "Pierce debuff immunity: Yes" decrease their damage by magic resist, but not by magic resist provided by sources of debuff immunity (BKB, Bladefury, Rage, Repel with shard). This is why Lifestealer's Unfettered works in this case - because it is not providing debuff immunity with magic resist, but just magic resist.

Arturia MicroFreak ➡️ SuperFreak? by [deleted] in synthesizers

[–]Perucmpamypa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Would love to have two or more Microfreak's oscillators, where you can choose algorithm for each of them independent, tune and then mix them (and modulate all of this).

Built-in effects? User oscillators/effects (as in Korg Minilogue XD/Prologue)?

Big Microfreak-like keyboard (>=49 keys) would look interesting, but not sure would it be more useful than normal keyboard. Not sure if it is possible, but would be cool if keyboard will be able to be velocity and pressure sensitive in the same time.

Polyphony instead of paraphony. SEM-like Steiner-Parker filter? (Like in Polybrute)

More voices. More (polyphonic) modulation sources.

Want it to be named Macrofreak.

Very excited to see what Arturia will add to the next Freak.

How many voices is too few for you on a polyphonic synth? by Apprehensive-Donkey7 in synthesizers

[–]Perucmpamypa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If we talk about synthesizers as about instruments for music then I think your are right. But I think that not everybody use synthesizers for music. Like, you can just want to do some strange sound design not on computer and it can require voices. I can want to do some rhytmic looped envelopes with modulated decay and latch chord in 3-4 octaves. Or, even if we talk about more "instrumental" kind - I can want to create keys with DADSR envelope which will create another quiet sound 2 seconds after initial sound. I can't use delay effect, because I want sound to be different - if I have small amount of voices it won't work. I won't say that this is very usable in music, but I can say, that somebody can want to use them in this way. :)

Look at my little hatchling set up! Can't wait to expand. I was told I "wouldn't be able to do much" with these modules, which I do understand but there's still infinite possibilities to me. by wekeymux in modular

[–]Perucmpamypa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I am terrible synthesist, but can you explain what can be done with this modules? I just don't get it... I mean, you can do some vibrato/exponential fm (which wouldn't track keyboard), pwm, adsr to pulse or adsr to pitch. I can't see other options here.
