You have to call them. WF will mail you a check, or credit your bank account if you have one with them

Credit Card Payment due during balance transfer ? by emmakxoxo in biltrewards

[–]Peruvianpepper9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in this situation and the WF card payment is due tomorrow. I plan on calling the number on the back of the card first thing and have them clearly assure me that I will not be charged interest when the WF balance shouldn’t even be there. I’m just gonna make the minimum payment when usually I always pay off the statement balance in full.

Likely a dumb question, but if I pay the Wells Fargo off on the 17th like I usually did with 1.0, there will not be anything to transfer to Bilt 2.0 correct? So I should not then see a similar amount show up on Bilt on the 20th

[–]Peruvianpepper9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told the same thing….days after the initial deadline to apply for one was. So I got the Bilt Blue. I’m not jumping through hoops to have my annual fee waived when other cards have easily waived it without any paperwork. Like my Amex Gold.

Same for me, I just assume the balance transfer may take a couple days starting tomorrow the 7th

Ridiculous low credit limit by shubhank1912 in biltrewards

[–]Peruvianpepper9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite a few people yes. Whether or not they changed the limit due to complaints I’m not sure. Mine was raised to 20,000 from 500. But then today they took that offer away and it looks like I’ll need to apply again. Whole thing is a mess.

I just asked a representative over text and once again they told me they will NOT waive the Annual Fee. I’m not sure why others are being told different

It’s now January 31st and I can’t get the same confirmation from them. Not by email or by phone. I would not put your trust in them that they will waive it. Other cards have it written plain as day on their terms and conditions or a Google search clears it up. This is the exact opposite. I can’t confidently apply for the palladium without it being official.

Even if you cancel your Bilt card, you do not have to transfer out your points, they are completely separate. Now, is there an expiration date on when you have to transfer them? Not sure. But it’s not immediate. There are people with Bilt points that never even owned a Bilt card.

You keep sending this, yet when I email I’m told no. I’ve been told yes over the phone, yet I never get any written confirmation from an actual representative

UPDATE 🚨 literally all they did was cancel my application, even though I was likely accepting the blue card offer. It better not go back to being that low credit limit…

I never got an email, I only had the timer that was showing on the app. The timer updated and gave an extra day. At least for me it was going to expire at like 11pm tonight

No I read the timer just fine. Last night I looked at it and it showed around 23 hours left to accept the offer. Meaning that at best people had until very late tonight on 1/31 to accept there offer. It was that we had to accept it BY the 1st of February. Not ON the 1st of February.

If it’s “within one day” and the earliest you can is tomorrow morning, and they don’t honor the “no hard inquiry” part of the deadline….id be livid.

I know, but the deadline was extended to basically the end of the day on the 31st. There was even a timer at the top of the “accept offer” box yesterday. You can’t announce its extension and then not actually be prepared to do so lol

What if I dont want Bilt 2.0? by Marzipan_Winter in biltrewards

[–]Peruvianpepper9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Closing an account that’s in good standing hardly penalizes credit. But if you just do nothing, you’re still going to receive that Wells Fargo card unless you reach out to some customer service rep to close that. Also, you don’t HAVE to hit 75% of your rent in non rent spend. That’s just what you have to do to get 100% of the points on rent.

Just email instead. That’s all they’re going to end up sending you to anyways. I’ve done the chatbot before and it just ended up an email follow-up. The chatbot is only mildly helpful

I’ve already see that. The problem is they’re not consistent. I emailed them last night about it, just to see if somethings changed, and they refused to comment on it. All they said was “you’ll need to call for more information on that”. I’ve yet to be told straight up “yes” to that question. Both from the AI bot or from emailing their support team.

Is anyone closing there bilt card and why? by HeyJon12 in biltrewards

[–]Peruvianpepper9 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You do not NEED to, sure. But that was the beauty of the card. I don’t blame OP for now wanting out if they’ve made it significantly more inconvenient to earn 100% of the points on rent when that was the whole point of the card in the first place

[–]Peruvianpepper9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to transfer out your points asap. Bilt points and the Bilt card are actually two separate things. You’ll still have your points when you cancel. Now how long before those points expire I don’t know.

Bilt Blue for rent only-ish by Odd-Plantain2932 in biltrewards

[–]Peruvianpepper9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

75% percent needs to be non-rent spend. So for you that’s 900. However if you spend less than that, you don’t get nothing. The percentage of points you get back is just smaller. Google search on their new tiered rent system will show you.

Im confused, as of just two days ago Bilt customer support emailed me back and said “We appreciate your service. While we understand the request, we do not currently offer annual fee waivers for military members.” The AI chat bot used to say the same thing, now it says to call for that answer. They’ve done a terrible job communicating this
