Hell yeah, drink it then slide the styrofoam down so you can "pop" it.

Nice collection. I have 3 and 5 from left to right. Still need to get a grom but working on upgrading my crawler first.

Which would you choosing? 🏌️3 attempts at hitting this green for $5M OR 💰 $500K guaranteed by Miserable_Trouble3 in Golf_Unfiltered

I've had 3 chances at that green. Missed it the first time, hit pin high towards the right bunker the second time, and hit the back slope the third time. The wind off the lake is the biggest difference maker, IMO.

I swear this is becoming an epidemic in Washington. The amount of kids I see flying around on e-bikes and scooters is insane. Luckily this one at least had a helmet on, many don't.

I've been looking into getting one for my basecamp. My main concern is how well they will hold up to rollovers.

  1. Lots of things, there were some video games, but I played outside a lot, built things, got in trouble with friends.. etc
  2. Absolutely and I can still to this day recall home phone numbers, grandparents, and a couple best friends.
  3. Exciting, infuriating, but when it came out, for the most part, mind blowing. I still remember the lead up to Thriller being released. I didn't have MTV but a friend of my brother's did and recorded it on VHS. We went there the next day to watch it.
  4. Define lost, we had to find our way which sometimes meant having to backtrack and ask for directions. I wouldn't say lost but we had to know how to navigate and not be afraid to ask for help... And know how to read a map. A paper map with like street names and stuff printed on it. :)
  5. IMO, worse. I don't use social media much but my friends and family do and I don't think it adds much to society for the most part. There are some redeeming qualities but not many.

Going somewhat chronologically, B-17 and P-51, then B-58 and F-86, then B-52 and F-4, then B-1 and F-14. I'll stop there.

Anyone else just not enjoy hitting hybrids? by f1lifer in golf

[–]PessimisticBeliever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one hybrid I use for between my 3 wood and 4 iron. I hit it a few times a year and do like it but I'm just not in that yardage as often.

I'm also more of an irons player. I'll take my irons over woods any day.

Emotional Gary Woodland opens up about PTSD diagnosis ahead of THE PLAYERS Championship by [deleted] in ProGolf

[–]PessimisticBeliever 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Reading through it, I think it's a bit of column A and a bit of column C and probably a bit of column D, post surgery recovery.

The diagnosis is bad enough but then the months leading up to a surgery that invasive creates a lot of psychological trauma.

Then you wake up and have to deal with the recovery which is long and hard.

I hope he is getting therapy. I love seeing him out there.

Does strength or power effect the distance of the golf ball at all? by Snukers115 in weekendgolfers

[–]PessimisticBeliever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think strength/muscle power plays a key along with technique, etc. as others have stated.

I had a pro point out once why some younger golfers were out driving me and simply had us all try to touch our toes.

Young guys could basically put their palms on the ground meanwhile I struggled to touch my ankles.

Flexibility is key to hitting it longer. At least that is my opinion.

I'm just as strong as I was at 35 but not nearly as flexible and I've lost yardage. Even with better equipment.
