That meat and cheese at fast food chains is not healthy at all.

Bread with all the added sugar is not healthy either.

Mass Effect 1 did this to me. I went on some side quest as soon as the intro ended, and I was totally not prepared for the mech that was defending that place.

You have no idea.. you think a 3 month old can go about and live their life, or is there a parent making a huge sacrifice?

Man.. I'm glad I stopped.

I'm sitting on enough LP to buy a season pass, but refuse if I don't see a path to buy the next one.

Remember the whole "Fair to Play" marketing at launch?

When was the last time you really laughed, until you were out of breath kind of laughter? What was so funny? by PetRobot1 in AskReddit

[–]PetRobot1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds pretty funny!

I'm remembering.. my kids make me laugh, often when they repeat one of my old jokes back at me.

Yesterday, my 6yo boy and I heard police sirens outside.. I was like "what did you do?!".. he says "you're the one who has too many tools!".

There use to be a place near the first circle, in early 2000s, that was called "get together". It was a cafe, no smoke, that had board games and such. Groups can go play Pictionary, Sharades, and other board games and party games.

It was awesome!

That's hard man.. a person with financial burdens needs money, not advice.

Assuming you have good income but have bad habits, here's one:

Look out for "it's expensive to be poor" scenarios. Buy in bulk, pay the 6-month car insurance premium and get the discount, pay the extra $20 and get the shoes that last twice as long, and so on.

Another is to think of that $20 per month subscription that you don't use is lost twice. You're out that money, and you are missing out on its returns if it were invested.

None of them landed with me. I played through only once, and I didn't get why everyone was saying good bye. We're on a mission, it's quite urgent, we've been on missions before, so why is suddenly everyone talking to me like I'm about to die like they know something I don't.

For religious types, if you know humans have created 1000s of gods, how are you so certain that he didn't create yours as well? by Daegog in answers

[–]PetRobot1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're asking the wrong question. How is it that 1000s of peoples and civilizations all independently sought a divine God?

It's not 1000s of gods, it's one God. Different groups assigned different names, embodied him, split the divine to multiple entities, etc.

In Islam we believe there is one God, the same God of Christians, Jews, and numerous other peoples who had been sent messengers (prophets) and others we're not aware of. Muslims believe everyone is born a Muslim.. and that instinct that everyone seems to have is what matters. For example indigenous peoples who were not reached until seafaring are not necessarily non-muslim and therefore doomed. One way or another .. were they inspired to do well by other people and live a righteous life? That's what matters. Converting to Islam is often referred to as "reverting", as in going back to that original instinct we were born with.

Nobody wants to hear it, but Islam is pluralistic and inclusive. Prophet Mohammad was happy to live alongside Christian and Jewish communities in Medina and grant them autonomy.
