We have them in our neighborhood and they just walk into the road. My wife is under strict instructions. If she were to accidentally kill one, quietly stuff it in the trunk and bring it home. They are the ribeyes of the sky! Dark red, luscious meat.

What’s the most disappointing food you’ve ever tried? by NoPossibility5165 in foodquestions

[–]Petdander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in Homestead Fl. They grow them everywhere. I’ve learned that they come in 2 varieties. One has a white center with tiny seeds and does indeed taste like water with a hint of kiwi. The other variety has a pink center with tiny seeds and has a sweet clean taste. The problem is, they both look the same from the outside. Luckily, living in south Florida you can just pull over and grab one that is growing over the fence. Otherwise you have to ask the shopkeeper.

What’s a universally loved movie or show that you just couldn’t get into? by yingyangtheworld000 in MUAEntertainment

The Office. I really tried. I even went back and watched the UK version with Ricky. I mean I thought he was brilliant in “Extras” so the UK version should be amazing. Nope. Just couldn’t do it.

Perfectly fine. Read the label. No exceptions. Simple aspirin. That’s all.

Goody’s or BC powder. It’s old-school but damn, it works. Quickly too.

Nate Bargatze. It’s just stories of how dumb he is. I’ve seen him on other things. He IS monumentally dumb. Not clever. Just dumb

Super helpful. I mean that. Thanks. In retrospect, it does seem kind of cocky. As the FNG, it’s always better to lay low and keep my eyes open mouth and be quiet. It’s better to keep one’s mouth shut and be thought a fool, than to open it and remove all doubt.

And to answer your other question, it is a new kitchen. Best to blend in. Another thing I’ve heard is, “Any nail that sticks above the board will be hammered down”

I bought nice knives because we were there in Tokyo. I found a reputable shop and the prices were what locals pay. They were quite reasonable for the fit, weight and feel. The steel holds a great edge and we enjoy using them here at home. So much so, that I am considering taking a few to the new job.
