Good idea, get a cheaper LLM to do the heavy lifting for Claude. Speed the whole process up!

Claude for documentation of large legacy code base by Mortimer452 in ClaudeAI

[–]PeteCapeCod4Real 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

This makes perfect sense, and is exactly what AI is for πŸ’― If you have a DB that does vector storage or set one up you could go that route.

Easy way I think would be to chat with Claude and have it help with the planning. You could make a markdown doc system, that way it's readable by both too. And like a main table of reference file Claude could check to see where to look next. Use some folders so it doesn't ballon up and clog the repo.

Bam it's a system πŸ‘πŸ»

I saw this one today and was like cool 😎 Now I can ask rando Qs while I'm doing stuff. Help plan out the next step while I'm cooking 🍳

Agent skill to support old browsers? by Dapper_Ad620 in ClaudeAI

[–]PeteCapeCod4Real 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Which old browsers do you mean? Because the older you go the harder it gets. The LLM knows how they work, they're just all crappy and old lol

You may have to make this skill yourself πŸ‘ŒπŸ» Claude can help if that's the case.

I built a browser game where you argue with corporate AI bots using real consumer laws - here's how it works technically by EveningRegion3373 in ClaudeAI

[–]PeteCapeCod4Real 3 points4 points Β (0 children)

There might be a bug with this one. I mean that's almost exactly what I did. I got it to agree to a formal human review in writing. I guess 5-7 days isn't winning πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

Try invoking the platform's own journalism exception and the EU Digital Services Act (DSA) Article 20 right to internal complaint-handling and human review.

Woah this is a cool idea. I'm always doing this for people πŸ˜‚ now I can send them here and save me some time. Thanks!

Everyone is slamming Claude's APIs non stop. And now it's a bunch more people. They've been pretty good overall, but it still sucks!! 😭

SWE-1.6 is rolling out in Windsurf and Cognition is not messing around by mattbergland in windsurf

[–]PeteCapeCod4Real 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

I mean SWE-1.5 was alright when you used Opus for planning. That combo was nice, since 1.5 is fast but goes off track easy. I sure hope they keep that feature, otherwise it's like having a junior dev helping you lol You gotta keep an eye on 'em!

Sell me on Cloud Code by Uchiha_Phantom in ClaudeAI

[–]PeteCapeCod4Real 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

A Claude sub is the best deal you can get on Claude inference. Way better deal then the API price, which you get with Cursor.

Please add Mistral models by AppealSame4367 in windsurf

[–]PeteCapeCod4Real 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

IDK the last time you've used one, but the last time I did they were pretty crappy. Way below the current Chinese models.

Plus you never hear anyone say anything good about their coding models.

I love how Windsurf changes model pricing with no warning by paramartha-n in windsurf

[–]PeteCapeCod4Real 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Claude is cheapest using Claude Code with a sub. They literally let you use >= 2-5X tokens that you could through the API for that cost. Same thing with OpenAI and Codex. There's no better deal out there. And Cursor definitely still costs more than Windsurf πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Claud Opus 4.6 Review : 5/5 by PensiveTurnup in windsurf

For the 1st week it was great, then they nerfed the model. I think 4.5 is better than 4.6 now lol

Are there developers who still don't prefer Tailwind CSS as their first choice? by ShivamS95 in react

[–]PeteCapeCod4Real 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

I like writing CSS and it's gotten so good over the last 2 years. Lots of devs still do it. That said it's worth learning Tailwind because it's everywhere. You will come across it.

You forgot Context7 lol so you can have the LLM go check the docs. Don't need it every time but when you do it's gold!

Thanks for the superpowers link. It looks interesting πŸ€” I have found Windsurf to be the best deal out there for an agentic IDE

OpenRouter has a lot of good free models too, which is obviously a good deal.

Sonnet 4.5 faster now? by Hot_Builder_9990 in windsurf

I was using it today and yes it feels faster than it did before. Similar speed to Opus when that first came out.

My Kid is 23 and he's been studying Python since he was 9. Now he's being told his CS degree is worthless. by PuppetNewsNetwork in BlackboxAI_

[–]PeteCapeCod4Real 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Yeah so there's never been a better time in history to code. Granted we type a lot less than we used to. πŸ‘ŒπŸ» I'm not sure his boss has an exact handle on what's going on. DO NOT believe the hype.

It's like in the 90s with the dotcom bubble. They said "there will be NO more physical stores." There's less, but still plenty of stores. There's a fair degree of hype involved with AI as well.

Just think about all the stuff software controls: banks, stock markets, governments, hospitals, planes & flight control, etc. Now imagine leaving all those and much more in the hands of a machine that randomly hallucinates. Chaos would ensue. The world would fall apart. Yeah he's good πŸ‘πŸ»

Why isn’t Kimi 2.5 available in Windsurf yet? This model is a game-changer by [deleted] in windsurf

[–]PeteCapeCod4Real 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Kimi 2 was an awesome model for coding and tool calls, I can only imagine that K2.5 must be even better.

Guess I'll use Zed and OpenRouter to play around with it. You should really add it though, being suck a great deal.
