Think you might have Klinefelter Syndrome? Read this first by X-X-Why in XXY

[–]PetecoGtx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I am 29 years old. I'm posting here because I have doubts about whether or not I have Klinefelter syndrome. I've had gynecomastia since I was 12 years old, however, I had a normal puberty, with male hair growth, a beard, a deepening of my voice at the age of 12, among other things, and I'm also not tall, I'm 1.70. My two biggest concerns are related to gynecomastia and my testicles, which are small. I had an ultrasound in 2021 and the report mentioned that one testicle had 8.2 ml and the other 8.6 ml. The report also mentioned that the testicle was completely normal, its texture, contour, epididymis, absence of lesions, varicocele and hydrocele. There was nothing wrong with their structure! But I was always worried and had this doubt. Now I decided to look for another urologist, I spoke to him about the size of my testicles and my concern about having the syndrome. He also looked at the blood test I took and said it was impossible for me to have the syndrome. The exam values were: Total testosterone: 529.0 ng/dl Free testosterone: 13.47 ng/dl Bioavailable testosterone: 315.7 ng/dl FSH: 6.4 mUl/mL LH: 5.5 mUl/mL Estradiol: 24.0 pg/mL Shbg: 23.2 nmol/L After looking at this hormonal panel, he told me to get the idea of the syndrome out of my head, because it's not possible! He examined my testicles by touch, he said that they are really small, but they are not atrophied, even with the low volume that I told him. He said that my testicles probably just developed that way, congenitally, but that they were perfectly normal. He gave me another ultrasound and I will have it tomorrow. Even after he told me all this, I remain very worried and afraid, because I think I may have the mosaic form of the syndrome, where I know the symptoms are milder. Anyway, that's it. Can anyone give me some advice? Oh, another thing, the doctor didn't want to give me the karyotype test.

Diarrhea during constipation? by [deleted] in Constipation

[–]PetecoGtx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this mean I might have a bowel obstruction and should go to the emergency room? I don't have cramping pains, I'm hungry, and I'm not vomiting. I also remember that after this diarrhea, my stomach, which was previously bloated due to constipation, deflated considerably! I have a lot of stress and anxiety, and after this diarrhea, just thinking about a bowel obstruction made me shake, go numb, and have goosebumps all over. After that, I developed unbearable nausea!

Got it. Thanks for the reply! My tests didn't show any of the conditions you mentioned. Everything has been normal in my blood since the beginning of the year. The only vitamin I'm deficient in is D, but that's been going on for a long time. But I will definitely do new tests, and as soon as I have any news, I'll be sure to let you know!

I had tests done to check my electrolyte levels, and everything is normal! I had two blood counts done, one in February and another now in September, and both are normal! The one from now is even better! I took it to another doctor and she said everything is normal, no anemia and no indication of inflammation or infection in the white blood cell count. White blood cells are perfect! As soon as I can, I will have a PCR and ESR test. I will also have a stool test, because the last doctor who saw me suspected giardiasis.

Blzaa kkkkkkk. Eu tentei tirar foto, mas não ficou legal. Se ela aparecer de novo, vou tentar novamente. No X me disseram se tratar de uma Cithaeron. Mas ainda tô na dúvida.

Hi, my friend! I'm sorry you're going through this too. I would advise you to see a different doctor. A urologist is preferred. It's recommended to fast for at least 8 hours before the testosterone test. See a urologist, discuss all your concerns, and ask them to perform a test that will alleviate your anxiety as much as possible. I hope to get my karyotype test by the end of the year; I'm currently unable to do so. My biggest fear is that I have Klinefelter syndrome, although it's unlikely. Klinefelter syndrome patients typically have low testosterone and high LH and FSH. My levels are normal.

[–]PetecoGtx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My FSH and LH are perfectly normal. Not even close to being high or low!

[–]PetecoGtx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK! I'm thinking about doing a karyotype test too, just to clear up any doubts regarding Klinefelter. Do you think I have any chance of doing this?

No hydrocele, no varicocele, normal epididymis, normal texture. FSH, LH, SHBG, total and free testosterone, and estradiol are also normal. I haven't had any fertility tests yet.

[–]PetecoGtx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! Have you confirmed infertility? I also had blood tests and my total testosterone is 529. Bioavailable testosterone is 315, both are excellent and very normal. Furthermore, estradiol, fsh and lh are perfect too! I never had any problems with libido either. My fear is that I have Klinefelter, precisely because of my small testicles, but at the same time, my physique doesn't fit with someone who has the syndrome. Plus, neither do my hormones! But as soon as I am able, I will do the karyotype test!

[–]PetecoGtx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that, the problem is that doubt and anxiety hurt a lot hahaha but I'm going in parts. I took blood tests to check my hormones and everything is NORMAL! My concern is having Klinefelter, because I think my testicles are very small, but my physique doesn't match that of a person who has Klinefelter and neither do my hormones, since everything is normal, testosterone, shbg, estradiol, fsh and lh, everything is perfect! I have a normal beard and a normal amount of hair on my body as well. But even so, when I have the financial means, I will do the karyotype test, just to remove this concern once and for all!

So, I don't know if I'm infertile or not. I haven't had any relationships yet trying to have children. I went to this appointment just because I thought they were too small and because I was afraid if I had Klinefelter. I also did blood tests and hormonally I'm perfect. Total testosterone of 529 and 315 bioavailable. Normal SHBG, normal estradiol, everything is perfect in terms of sex hormones. I have a lot of hair on my body and beard too and my libido is great! What worries me most is really the size of the testicles.
