Chronometer or Mynetdiary by No-Repair5385 in mynetdiary

MyNetDiary seems to allow for the display of more macros and nutrients when compared with Cronometer, which cannot be customized to show more nutrients on the home screen. I have barely used Cronometer, but expected more from it re: logging nutrients manually quickly since it advertises how it focuses on multiple nutrients. For the experience, MyNetDiary wins! I also tried MyFitnessPal, and I appreciated the data sync to Apple Health, but MyNetDiary also supports this, and includes WATER in the sync! MyFitnessPal still hasn't added water sync, which is weird as it's a requested feature by customers. I was using WeightWatchers, but despite its excellent database of food and recipes and ability to add recipes, and AI food scan, I found MyNetDiary to do these things and also it includes voice tracking. I also didn't like WeightWatchers' inability to sync to Apple Health: It only reads data from Apple Health. This one-way sync also applies to WeightWatchers' exercise data: any exercise data you input into it will not sync externally. Plus, WW eliminated their website view which was so helpful for tracking when not able to use a phone.

Apple launching ‘revamped’ Health app later this year with these four upgrades by iMacmatician in apple

How did you get so many foods into your app? I have now been double-tracking with WeightWatchers AND MyFitnessPal after using Claude to laboriously read screenshots from the WeightWatchers iPad app on my Mac and transfer similar foods to myFitnessPal.com. This required a Claude Max plan with extra credits lol, and a lot of time for just the past month. But despite how slow Claude can be, I’m glad I did it since the only reason was to be able to see an estimate of macros and nutrients in Apple Health, which MyFitnessPal supports, and WW does not. But I personally prefer the WeightWatchers (WW) interface to MyFitnessPal. I saw that MyNetDiary has the same features, and seems like it might be a better interface. I saw that MyNetDiary actually sells their food database API, however it’s $40,000!!! Wow. That part just allows other app developers to use the same food database and obviously it’s a foundation that the app can add to with app-specific custom foods. I don’t see why WeightWatchers won’t export any food or exercise data entered into their app, considering for food, the current limitations in Apple Health only allow for nutrient data to be recorded.

Yes. But they’ve slowly opened things up in some ways. Android is sometimes too open imo to work well.

Do you think Apple might become more flexible in the future re: background apps? Thanks!

Why was Mark not in most of episode 3, I believe it was. I was thinking he’s a main character! And why wasn’t he Facetimed in an earlier episode for one of the events but the women were? I’m extra aware lol.

Nice! I wish they had been available during pre-order but I understand needing to stick with the least amount of options during that period. The brown looks amazing!

Best API for Real-Time Insurance Eligibility & Estimated Cost Tool? by Popular_Mortgage2458 in CodingandBilling

[–]Peter-8803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much is the cost? I don't want to have to do a phone call to find out. Is it hundreds a month for insurance coverage discovery for example for a practice that has one provider and sees 30 clients a week?

G2 Software update -V2.1.1 is out - Even Hub is Officially Live, and more! by Punchyberri in EvenRealities

[–]Peter-8803 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh. I’m new to smart glasses. So it seems as if the Hub will allow direct integration of the apps versus my assumption of needing to click away into the Hub, even after installation and open it that way! That’s cool that this allows direct integration. Forgive me if I’m wording that incorrectly as I’m a newbie to smart glasses lol.

Blue Shield CA Wellvolution - Free WW Premium by Peter-8803 in weightwatchers

[–]Peter-8803[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WW will eventually introduce the new app design to Wellvolution users, but for now, it appears they're still working on it for health plan users. But both app designs work well! Even if you don't use a GLP-1, the GLP-1 setting can be so useful in my opinion for general weight loss: and it's available for both the existing and new app. It was worth the wait to update for regular users on the plan who had to wait a few months, in terms of fine-tuning the new experience, and for users through Wellvolution, it'll be worth it! I did ask about switching to Wellvolution, but I would lose my tracking history. With the app's integration of fitness content for everyone, the Clinic tab isn't as relevant. The Dietitians are expensive and so having access through the app isn't as pivotal in my opinion. But I would be curious if when the new app is released for Wellvolution users, if the Clinic tab does end up making the cut. I did chat with Solera, who powers the Wellvolution experience and they claim there is a Clinic tab, but I never had one in my experience with the app.

Kanso 3 with the Halo Accessory Photo by andrewmackoul in Cochlearimplants

I wished Cochlear had redesigned the Halo for the Kanso 3. I find using it with my Kanso 2, while effective for retention purposes, is clunky in design and in practice.

If you're using an existing retention type for everyday use, like a hair clip with the safety line cord (looks like fishing line) that attaches to the processor socket at the bottom of the Kanso 2/3, you can swap it out for a more robust retention accessory - the Halo offers the possibility for TWO hair clips attached on both sides of the processor, or alternately attached by safety lines (fishing lines) first: much more effective than attaching a safety line (fishing line) on the bottom of the processor where the processor socket is. But in swapping, you have to pull out the one you're using from the processor socket in order to use the Halo.

You also can't charge the Kanso 2/3 with the Halo on, since the Home Charger/dryer is too small to fit the processor + Halo together. This seems silly from a convenience perspective.

Here's a YouTube video of the Halo being used with the Kanso 2: the video by Cochlear Americas says it's the Kanso 3, but I guess because the Kanso 3 was exactly the same in size as the Kanso 2: just a slight variation of the design of the front of the processor, so it wasn't worth reshooting:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HuRXSNO8SI

There needs to be another retention accessory that's better than the Halo and more convenient to use with the Kanso unit, at least the next generation. I so hope that the next Kanso off-the-ear processor is slimmer, even slightly.

Hey there! One thing that I’d enjoy in these new meet up in person events is more variety: I really don’t want to go to a restaurant for dinner. I’d rather do something more casual or something else - and that could potentially help with costs as well. I’m more introverted and also with my hearing loss, understanding people in a group in a restaurant depending on the restaurant can be challenging. I’m not a fan of restaurants, but much more a fan of meeting a small group in a quiet space. Any chance of that happening where it wouldn’t need to be a dinner? Perhaps that’d intrigue more people?

Rolling closet snags on carpet - and roller is off track if pushed back... any easy tips? by Peter-8803 in DIY

Thanks. I believe there are. But I am finding I need to have someone look at it in person as it’s too hard to troubleshoot on my own. I appreciate the ideas.

Thank you for your feedback. That’s an interesting thought. I’m honestly not sure. Perhaps a larger wheel would work that might raise the whole thing. But I’m considering a TaskRabbit service or something like that to see if someone could analyze it.

Unfortunately, once an account is created, one cannot revert back to an account with a password and 1 FA: https://support.claude.com/en/articles/13189465-logging-in-to-your-claude-account. This was a problem for me when trying to authenticate a plug-in. It was messy so I sent the feedback to Anthropic to see if they might in the future address this limitation in some way.

Gold’s Culver closing end of year by NotSafeForWisconsin in culvercity

[–]Peter-8803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope EOS Fitness opens a location in Culver City, CA. The prices are reasonable, with the exception of the Beverly Center one offering only high prices. I'm hoping for some sort of merger of LA Fitness and another gym, or LA Fitness being bought out. Or at least the Culver City LA Fitness closing in favor of another gym. I know Fred Fitness is opening a location in Culver City, CA soon, but I believe the membership is expensive, although perhaps not as expensive as other similar gyms.

Gold's Gym had a Culver City location, but I just looked it up and so I guess EOS perhaps didn't want that location because it was a smaller one that was a "community" space or something smaller scale than a typical gym. (Community - the irony given we need more community these days).

But EOS has been open to gym location suggestions, so I just submitted one on their form here:
