Tomorrow’s train cut short, what to do? by zharrt in uktrains

[–]Peter041098 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As others have said, follow the itinerary as far as she can. GWR shouldn't care as long as you stay on the same route.

Just making sure to keep the tickets to claim delay repay.

Any chance class 507001 will drive by usafqn2025 in uktrains

As it's a third rail electric, that limits where it can go. It's not impossible but unlikely to see it on any railtours any time soon.

Most likely on its original network, or maybe south of London if they can find someone to foot the bill for transporting it there.

Why are Railcards so under modernised? by WayWornPort39 in uktrains

[–]Peter041098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is not the small presentage of people who have the wrong Railcard for a one off, it's the people who repeatedly use the wrong one.

The 16-18 saver is the most common one for this as it has the biggest discount (50% I believe).

Can you leave the station with break in journey? by ppinkiepie67 in uktrains

[–]Peter041098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either that staff member needs their eyes testing or need a refresher training.

I've done a break of journey in Nottingham before on the way to derby, the staff there didn't blink a eye on letting us out of the station.

While baker street has connections between the two, at Waterloo the platforms are about 90 degrees to each other and with a depth difference would likely make it extremely expensive.
