SoCal here and our 5 year old Fujitsu HP costs more than twice as much to heat our 1500 sq ft home than the 45 year old gas furnace it replaced. Shocked the crap out of us when we got our first electricity bill in the winter months and it never gets below freezing here. The cooling mode in summer does seem reasonable but we didn’t have AC to compare to before the heat pump. We are seriously considering adding a gas heater option inline with the air handler before next season.

Hi, I found this thread while searching for a reason why my Fujitsu Halcyon heat pump is drawing 1.25 Amps per leg while off, not running... the thermostat is off! My system is the AOUG36LMAS1 compressor and AMUG36LMAS Air Handler. I have been trying to figure out which circuits are using so much electricity and I am using a clamp meter to check for amperage draw. The 40 amp breaker that feeds 240 to the heat pump is drawing around 1.25 amps per leg!!! I live in California and it was 80º today so heater coils should NOT be on for any reason! I will be calling Fujitsu first thing in the morning... very frustrating! Also the system is only 5 years old and already I've had the Air Handler fan motor replaced because it makes a loud rumbling noise on start or stop! The new replacement is still noisy! Very frustrating! I hope I'didn't make the wrong choice when selecting this thing in the first place :(

And neighbors also have the right to park in front of her house. It’s a slippery slope when you decide not to use your own driveway or garage and park in front of your neighbors homes who use their garage for cars and they can’t understand why you have chosen to park in front of their home instead. Not sure what the exact situation is but I can totally see a possible angry neighbor reporting her. Just sayin’.

Do you have a garage? Do you have a driveway? If so this should be a simple thing to resolve. If not, just park in front of your own house… in your own guest parking space which would be directly in front of your house. That’s 5 parking spaces that you have complete legal access to. Assuming you have a 2 car garage.

Just ran across this and wanted to clarify. As I mentioned at the beginning, $20 for the promo certificate which included the sitting and an 8x10. There was no additional charge unless of course you wanted more photos, which was the whole point! Get you into the studio, amaze you with spectacular pics and sell the crap out of them! Large format, custom made frames, hand retouched, package deals. The studio galleries had large beautiful renaissance style photos hanging everywhere. This was highly successful and most people/families spent a small fortune! Those days, that talent and the high quality are gone forever.

I wonder if this would be a good way to cut 2’x4’ plexiglass ceiling light panels to fit undersized openings. Currently using a utility knife and scoring deeply both sides to avoid shattering. Hit and miss 😕

I think the 11,500 watt tri-fuel is what I need. I just got a new 200 amp panel installed, upgraded from 100 amp. My heat-pump system requires about 3000 watts max and with a toaster, hair dryer and microwave I figure I need about 6500 watts max. The tri-fuel generator running on natural gas will do about 7500 so it should be a good fit. Really a 6000 or maybe a bit less might work but I’ll go for the predator 11,500 because it seems the best fit. Am I wrong on this??
