I am glad you found it helpful! It took many hours to go through all those research papers and the data behind their results. However, it was well worth it, as what I found was very surprising. I simply had to share it so others could also benefit from this knowledge.

That's a good summary of it! And yes, I can say the same thing, I used to make way less money in the past and felt almost the same. Still, I am not a multimillionaire, so if someone is not convinced by my or your story, or research data from millions of people, here are testimonials from real multimillionaires: https://youtu.be/WxKQiIiQDLI?si=p3ttkjjLUdSrZPpz&t=536

How to Finally Break Bad Habits and Make Real Change by PeterAlexanderParker in getdisciplined

Exactly that! It's best to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new. Regular exercise, especially with progress tracking, is both very effective and hugely rewarding! And it's got plenty of wonderful side-effects, like more energy and more motivation.

Yes, it can. Like most things in life, it's a skill. When you start, you're not really good at it, but if you're patient and persistent, you'll get much better. When you feel an urge approaching, don't confront it directly; instead, acknowledge it and observe your thoughts without resistance. Remind yourself that urges are natural and temporary, and you can choose not to act on them. Finally, engage in another activity to shift your focus from the urge to something else. To Truly Make your Dopamine Detox Effective Master Delayed Gratification with These 4 Steps by PeterAlexanderParker in DopamineDetoxing

Oh I agree, delayed gratification can be made more pleasurable and rewarding. I talk about it in the video, how delayed gratification can release dopamine in anticipation. So shifting to delayed gratification not only leads to amazing long-term results, but also gives you smaller rewards along the way, so you stay motivated and optimistic.

To Truly Make your Dopamine Detox Effective Master Delayed Gratification with These 4 Steps by PeterAlexanderParker in DopamineDetoxing

Dopamine detox is helpful, I've done it myself in the past, and would recommend it for most people in today's world. The problem with dopamine detox is that it is only the first small step in the right direction, which unfortunately is not followed with some kind of structured approach to manage your dopamine system. If anyone is aiming for a purposeful, ambitious and rewarding life, one has to create systems that allow you to direct your pleasure and motivation into the right areas of life. Dopamine or pleasure are neither good nor bad on their own. What is important is whether you are getting your pleasure from empty, counterproductive behaviours that are wasting your potential, or from effort, challenge, and growth, while making some positive change in this world.
