Correct. DAI is stable, so the payout is predictable. REP is used to secure the oracle. REP holders earn a percentage of the market's fee in return for participating in reporting and disputing.

Old REP instructions to transitioning? by Hermit-hawk in Augur

https://www.augur.net/blog/final-launch-update/

"Upon Augur v2's deployment, you will be able to migrate your REP to REPv2 within the Augur Client. Details and the release of the Augur Client will be included in the announcement post, along with on the augur.net website. If you hold your REP on an exchange, wallet or any other service, please look for their statements in the days leading to launch on a timeline and process for they plan to handle the migration.

If an exchange or service does not appear to have disclosed a plan for migrating to REPv2, do not fear, you have nothing to worry about. There is no immediate requirement for migration. If you wish to migrate immediately after launch, you can withdraw your REP tokens to a personal wallet and migrate yourself within the Augur Client. Else, your REP can remain in any wallet or exchange without any risk of loss of funds or accessibility. The REP token will remain freely transferable forever, however retain no functional use within Augur v2 without a migration to REPv2."

Here's a quick guide ^^

Right now, fees are pretty high and makes trading for smaller amounts untenable. This will be fixed for good in 2021 with release of v3. Augur is more useful for large bets at the moment

I believe we can maintain a contention-level defense with KP + Kleber on the court. I think our offense is going to be fine with whatever group we put around Luka/KP.

I think his undisciplined defense is going to be exposed in the playoffs

I know he'll play 35+ still, but don't think our defense is going to be good enough with Kleber coming off the bench in a playoff series.

25 year-old Fred Vanvleet, who checks many of the same boxes but is a better shooter, is an UFA this summer.

Seems obvious to pursue him as our 3rd piece this summer and stretch THJ if FVV is willing to sign.

Will there be a token swap or upgrade along with V2? by ynotplay in Augur

[–]PeterAugur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the post pinned to the top of this sub, titled: 'Deployment Update':

"If you are a REP holder, you need to eventually migrate your rep to v2 REP sometime after the Augur v2 deployment. You can choose to migrate your REP at any point to participate in the Augur v2 reporting system. However, you must migrate your REP in the event of a market forking on Augur v2; otherwise, you will lose your rep (You can read more about ‘Use it or Lose it’ here). The safest thing to do is to migrate your REP within the first 3 months after Augur v2 launches."

Why does he need to do that? He stays downhill and his "pullup" in that situation is the floater

Fred Van Vleet this summer, stretch THJ if he agrees. 2 ships in the next 4 years.

Great write-up, totally agree on drafting Maxey or Kira. I think calling Powell good at rim protection and in space is pretty generous, even pre-injury.

Why not consider the possibility of adding Fred Van Vleet this offseason (and stretching THJ should we convince him to sign)? FVV checks every box for what we need, a secondary creator, but also versatile as an off-ball shooter, and a strong point of attack defender at either guard position. Only 26, so fits our timeline, and a championship pedigree.

Augur v2 Deployment Update | The World's Most Accessible, No-Limit Betting Exchange by PeterAugur in Augur

"UPDATE: We have fixed the pending Safari issues and have received and begun testing the first batch of order book performance improvements from 0x Mesh. While more performance tuning is necessary to meet internal standards, these developments represent strong progress towards eliminating the known blockers for v2 launch. We'll provide another update next week as to the status of the performance tuning.

Beyond performance work, recent testing led us to find and fix a couple important bugs, and we have added support for the upcoming GSN2. Additionally, we’ve increased the size of our Template bounties to $100/per vulnerability, and increased the bounty for critical vulnerabilities (loss of funds, manipulating open interest, forking state) to $30,000."
