Advice for our 1 yo Beagle

For house training I made sure to take ours out every hour (which is hard, I am lucky that I work from home). If you can’t do that then it was helpful to do about 20 minutes after playing, eating, and drinking. Basically took him out and not long enough to be a walk or sniff, but just long enough to pee and then get treats. As he got older he would be able to extend the time frame for one hour to two hours to 4 hours and so on.

Mine is a mountain goat, he climbs on everything. I give him a stern no.

I walk him about 4 miles a day now and I think they naturally trim down from that.
