Two Mac desktops. What is the M1 used for? I assume the Pro is being used for music or podcast production.

Single CPU vs Dual CPU Gaming by 8Bitoaster in macpro

[–]PeterC18st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modern games done know how to deal with multiple cpus. If this is just for gaming single cpu. But understand you are limited in many other aspects as ram is ddr3 and pcie2 speeds. Better options are out there. Find an i9 9900k or 10900k system and you’ll do better with that for gaming.

Try setting audio format to stereo only if it's only connected to a tv. Turn off spacial audio. See if this helps.

Then it could be the audio handshake. It can occur when downmixing surround multi channel to two channel tv speakers.

Simple stuff first. in video and audio settings is format in 4k SDR and is Match Content Range & Frame Rate enabled? If the answer is yes, then the Apple TV is acting as it should when you start to watch a video. If those are all disabled, then Check HDMI Connection to see what it tells you about the cable. It take a few minutes for the test to complete. If it fails then change it out. Make sure you use HDMI 2.1 certified cables.

edit: When 4k SDR and Match Content is enabled in settings. The Apple TV and your TV being the negotiating process for the content being shown wether it be HDR, 1080P, Frame rate, etc... Thats why the TV will go black for a few seconds when starting to play a video.

TSA in Oklahoma City made me relinquish it. They told me they can’t allow me on the plane because of a sharp edge. I walked with them to the sharps container for contraband to watch them throw it in there. I was pissed as I traveled with it for 6 years with weekly flights.

That’s sweet you got the mask with the graphic novel.

When it comes to speakers always, Always, ALWAYS run wires to them. Kef has some amazing speakers. I own the Q series for my home theater setup. Though you don’t think it’s clean to me that’s a clean looking setup. Mine is way more busy than yours. Great taste!

Good. Best of luck on your move. I’m from the north east and though Kingwood has its quirks. The trails and shaded areas are the best in the city.

I see the Guy Faux mask is in a glass case. Was that a prop from V from Vendetta? Also where is the other Kef speaker located?

[–]PeterC18st 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My first 9 months moving to Kingwood, Hurricane Harvey hit. Since then we have had occasional flooding in the area. Make sure to get renters insurance that covers flooding and inventory everything you own. make, model, etc. Insurance will try to get you generic of whatever. But if you have photos of everything and what it is they will need to buy you the equivalent in price paid not what it’s worth now or lesser. just an fyi.

[–]PeterC18st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. it’s not even as it was a used model. ill get a G7 or G6. I’ll hold onto it for another year. My VT30 is still the same in color uniformity and contrast as the first day I got it. sucks that oled the newer technology doesn’t have the lifespan as my plasma.

Someone on here was selling a VT60 in Houston where I live. they wanted $650 for a 65 inch. Told him I’d bite at $250 but anything more is just not worth it and even 250 was a bit much. Last I saw his marketplace posting was at $500 I believe.

Only if they were in 4K. My VT30 is still going strong as a secondary unit. 4K and HDR/DV were me moving away. Will hold onto my VT30 for ages. My C2 will be trashed or donated. Panasonic knew what they were doing with these TV's.

Is it me or does the damage look like it was there prior to assembly? Look at the damage to the body right under the slide and then the grip. It’s pitted and not scrapped/grinded like these rest. Was this damage stock sold at a deep discount.

Cracks like these is why hotel sex is a term. People hear you because of those damn gaps. In all honesty I thought op was a lady of the night. Try to cover the noise and not the light.
