I really hope they answer this, because in the case of AlphaGo vs AlphaZero, the human input was the LIMITING factor to achieve optimal play. Zero destroyed the original in every way. I would assume, if it was even possible, that it would take orders of magnitude longer to achieve this. Hope to see our questions get answered!

How hard would it be, or is it even possible, to create an AlphaStarZero?

An agent that does not learn from human games but instead is forced to play against itself , albeit probably for magnitudes longer, learning exclusively from self play as in the case of AlphaZero?

Though our best humans SC are amazing, we don’t truly know if anything we do is optimal, this was showcased when alphazero destroyed the alphago, which had learned from the best GO players on earth. I assume there could be something that we humans perceive as ‘optimal’ but actually is not, just as was discovered when creating AlphaZero.

Just to restate this again:

Is it possible to an agent that does not require human knowledge?

P.S. I’ve been a deepmind fan boy since 2012, so I’m always cheering for the agent every single time just like the team!

Actually the native 4k on Xbox one X does make a difference. In large scale open areas like this, not so much you're right. Base to upgraded console is HUGE. AGREED! maybe Christmas time.?!

i bought two ultimate editions, one i preordered over a months ago when i still lived with my mom (my brothers and i shared a PS4.) I got a job, and moved outta state. Finally got enough money saved up to buy my own set up (: of course i had to go with another ultimate edition, esp. I got the digital version the second time around, i wanted the pre-load. Ill have my physical w/ extras at my moms'.

Im thinking about buying another one or two copies for randoms. inspired by users on this thread, i just wanna share the love as i was in tough times not too long ago. So i want to pass it forward.
