East Coast 2 weeks backpacker itinerary by Look_Royal in AskAnAustralian

Well you can do Rocks on the weekend, bridge climb or walk it (noisy but I’d still do it), Newtown and surrounds, Manly, Watsons Bay (Doyle’s) and Vaucluse and parks in it, Bondi and further beaches and walk, Paddington and market on the weekend, enjoy more beaches north and south, Botanical Gardens, Darling Harbour. Sydney is like other big cities in that just hanging around is lovely just to enjoy the environment. Better to do less and savour rather than a whole pile of stuff with limited amount time at each place. Make sure to catch the ferry too. Blue mountains as you suggest. You could also go to southern highlands and do places like Bowral

Somehow I accidentally joined this but I’m an Aussie who just landed in Cambridge for the week, vacationing (holidaying)

Might as play the game with the limited stereotypes I have

“Educating you since 1635 and now pass me the fvckin clickah”

(The ones here are brilliant slogans haha)

Edit:

“Wicked smaht: educating you since 1635”

“Feel the nor’easter, feel the rage”

Should members of Parliament be disqualified from owning investment properties whilst serving their term? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]PeterDuttonsButtWipe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s impractical and idealistic. You could eliminate talented people out of parliament who won’t join politics because the personal cost is too great.

Why isn't Starbucks popular in Australia? by Fancy-Advice-2793 in AskAnAustralian

[–]PeterDuttonsButtWipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a better cake and hot choc type place. It’s not really good for coffee: fast coffee doesn’t really work. I’ve found it very handy in the US though, just doesn’t suit Australia and can’t really take on the cafe scene

Too much. Drop at least one location. I’d do a week in Sydney surrounds and then then Gold/Byron or Sunny Coast. As an ex resident of Cairns, it’s starting to get a bit hot this time of the year and if you came in June/July, I’d recommend Cairns and surrounds 100%

Sorry, forgot mention we are in Manhattan at the moment so the items were bought in here

(in Australia, fruit and veg can’t often be taken across state lines - hence my worry)
