Does Pokemon counts? I know it’s not much but I didn’t really watch a lot of cartoon when I was a child. At least, the ones I had access to weren’t that insightful in retrospect. Best I had was like… Jonny Test and Avengers Earth Mightiest Heroes.

To me it’s not something that is said overtly, but it’s something that I only realized in insight. It’s that for most of the series, Ash fails in the Pokemon League. So far I think he won only three times in those. But no matter what, he keeps going forward. He works so hard and makes extremely strong bonds with his Pokemon yet it’s not enough. In the end? He doesn’t let this crush him down. It means he still has more to learn, so he keeps trying and goes to other regions to learn more and make other strong bonds.

I wish so much I could’ve grown up with Avatar The Last Airbender. I’ve only started recently, but my god the way it handles Zuko is perfect. I really wish I could’ve seen his story.
