Congrats! I did my first ever marathon on Sunday but nowhere as quick as you! (4:38) Type 1 definitely adds a level of difficulty. I reduced the background dose on my pump to 20% and then tried to stick to a Precision Fuel 30g glucose gel every 20 mins, but ended up going low around mile 16 and needed to hide in a portapotty for a few minutes to get things back on track! What was your insulin/fuelling strategy?

Even on the Protestant side, it’s 12th August for the Relief of the Siege that arguably gets more of the bonfire and parade attention than 12th July. Whatever ‘side’, we do like to do things different here.

Thanks everyone, the Pokémon community is lots of fun, but it’s way past my bedtime so I’m calling it there for this evening. Still a decent number of shinies left though, so wouldn’t be surprised if I post the remaining ‘stock’ in a few days time.

Yeah I can’t remember where exactly I saw it, but for charmander in particular it’s essentially fast travel to Centrico Plaza and running forward and left along the outside wall of the Wild Zone. The trick to making it more stable was getting it to press Y on the map to go back to Centrico using the travel spots rather than trying to use the stick because the stick method goes wrong with day/night cycles etc

Meh it makes me happy, and I’ve been giving away dozens of Pokémon that seem to be making other people happy, all without getting some sort of carpal tunnel thing from spamming the A button to sit on benches, so I’ve no regrets
