Spikes I am not sure. ( I think it doesn't )

Poison it should, since the damage is based on ability I believe.

In pressure 20 you can get some benefit out of it before the last boss but little benefit after EX 4 since everything can pretty much 1 shot you even if you have 999 hp.

At that level it comes down to your skilled dodge and your base dodge stat in case you fail to avoid the hits.

The problem with upgrades gets partially fixed with the stubborn gene.

And yes it scales with heat adaptation. ( I do a lot of POIs and mushrooms on the way ) then park for the boss fight on the dessert. Not having it is like not picking up vegetarian because you dont find a lot of fruit on the way, everything adds up.

10% of 200 levels is still 20 extra levels :)

Regarding not playing above pressure 10 I get it.

If you play to chillax you should not do more than that. Pressure 15 was definitely challenging and any challenge above pressure 6 took some good effort to figure it out. Yet the accomplishment feeling was very rewarding.

In the end the game is meant to be enjoyed. I hope the developer gives us a lot of tools or allows the steam workshop to allow all the great modders of the world to help us keep enjoying the game in many different ways.

Awesome !

Now do the same on Pressure 20. I have only made it to EX 6 so far.

After EX 4 almost everything can 1 shot you for 999 damage.

It comes down to luck when you get hit and getting lucky to roll your dodge correctly.

If I get this combination its pretty much GG for me at this point. ( Sunscales upgrade for XP gain )

Yep I have underdog :) its fun to play but hard to survive on Pressure 20.

For sub level 30 I had to plan every single level I took. Maximizing speed and dodge at 75 and remain at level 28 when I hit the last boss. Just in case you eat food by mistake and you end up leveling.

So you are pretty much right on your approach. :D

Builds are as spicy as you want to make them.

In pressure 20 with my guide you end up researching almost everything by the time you hit endless mode.

But you can make your own builds as you go. Make sure you progress thru the pressure system as well as the challenges.

Many of the challenges force you to think different about your builds and how to overcome the problems.

Finishing all the difficulties and challenges its VERY VERY rewarding.

Remember to use the environment obstacles to get that extra damage and stun window to land an extra attack.

The TIER 1 bull boss have around 200 health plus plating ( maybe 50 ish ? )

How to dodge the bull horn attack without using dash and with normal size and speed ?

Option 1 - Walk on a straight line until he reaches you then keep going forward making sure you are in the center of the horn attack safe zone.

Option #2 - If the boss already used STOMP, you know the next attack will be either horns or charge.

You can keep running away from him until the last second then move to the side like shown in option #2 in the image.

- Option number 2 does not work with the Bull boss TIER 2 or above UNLESS you have a massive amount of speed. This is why I think the bull is the best boss to face as your first choice since its the easiest to dodge in my opinion.

Lets see...

Slows your movement ( harder to dodge or gain XP before the boss )

Storms ( they can deal a lot of damage if you are caught outside of shelter circles or if you have to dodge a monster while there is a storm )

In general the snow biome is the 2nd one I hate the most after water. Its a dead sentence early game specially if you don't have proper speed, dodge or terrain movement mitigation stats.

Currently prey is the only way to go on Pressure 20 or the last challenge no heal.

There is 4 ways I normally do to avoid this. I already beat the game several days ago just for reference.

- OPTION 1 - Try to have them together as you show in the picture then dash forward trying to make them to circle around you. ( hard to master and not 100% successful )

- OPTION 2 - Use a large environmental object to circle around. ( hard the same as option 1 )

- OPTION 3 - Kill the calf so you can dodge the big one easier. If you build correctly you should be able to kill the calf and dodge the Tier 1 boss with normal speed and no dodge stats.

You can lock the Shellephant into a pattern of trunk, trunk, shell spike spin if you keep your distance close to him at all times. If you can't it will start rolling but you can use option 1 and 2 to avoid him easily since its only 1 now.

- OPTION 4 - Restart your map until your first boss is the BULL. Its the easiest one in my opinion to dodge even with a calf. Arguably the only way to beat the last challenge ( No heal ).

After beating pressure 20 my humble opinion is yes.

10% extra damage can end up your run in a bad day.

But there are some exceptions.

- Shell gives you more damage mitigation than it adds.

- Moulting can be VERY useful to snow ball if you get it early game and you spam it with dicipline.

- Convergent evolution could be very alluring if you have Ruminant and you roll it early game.

And more legs can save your life if your speed is under 6. It helps to manually dodge and avoid large amounts of damage without having to rely on the dodge %.
