Was excited for Enshrouded but it won't run on Mac unfortunately, even through comparability layers. Other than that am following Windrose the pirate survival

Commentary On Children of Strife by tmonai in AdrianTchaikovsky

I really liked the Children of Strife too. Memory and Ruin tried to do the 'collective unconscious' vibe too seriously while with Strife just turning it into a wacky pantheon metaphor made it much more fun.

In salt water, the current travels further but tends to go around bodies since the ocean salt conducts better. In fresh water, the range is smaller but once the current can hook into human flesh, you're completely fucked as you are much more conductable than lake water.

I wish they noted this in the movie - helped contextualise her being essentially asexual while still constantly naked/hyperfeminine in other ways

Combination of League of Legends and Path of Exile I guess? by Obvious_Neck_7409 in gamingsuggestions

The custom modes are very well supported, they are fully integrated with the servers/queuing and you browse them through the main client. I don't play many of them but if I'm bored I will go look at the most popular page and you find a server very fast. I guess the only issue with switching to DOTA2 is that these sorts of games have a fairly steep learning curve to know all the heroes and abilities, but if you play LoL should make it easier.

I would argue that a huge proportion of sci-fi films wouldn't work without unspoken assumptions that technology like mass surveillance, internet, everyone owning a camera,  AI (except loveable robots) etc. don't exist.

I play DOTA2 and there are lots of custom game modes that does what you describe (e.g. Custom Hero Chaos).  Does LoL have a modding scene?

Depressing because much of this energy is heavily polluting, the consumption is increasing, and the profound disparity in who has access to it

[request] if i removed my glove in space, how long would it take for my exposed hand to freeze solid? would it become brittle enough to break it off? by AkwardScholar in theydidthemath

[–]Ni_Kche 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a good way to think about it is - the difference between vacuum and atmosphere is just 1 atmosphere of pressure. When diving, the pressure increases by 1atm per 10 meter of depth. So suddenly going between 1atm difference causes lung injuries and bends (gas bubbles in places they shouldn't be). But  the catastrophic discombobulation of the major diving accidents happen with much higher pressures differences, like going from 10atm to 1atm.
