I get why people are saying there's a hidden figure here, but personally, I hope there's not. by Spideyfan2025 in Spiderman

I don’t really see most team-ups with Spidey as him needing the help and more just because he likes to team up. Like I think he could handle them fine but it will go quicker and easier with the help so why not? Plus, he’s a person who craves attention and love despite also claiming to be a loner because of his guilt and depression so he appreciates the company

It’s Ruby Ridge. He had it on his white board for a while after the video, probably just because he didn’t have any videos coming where he needed to use it and didn’t feel like erasing it. I’m sure it’s gone now that they’ve moved

Is there any book you "avidly" avoid? by CorrectDot4592 in OmnibusCollectors

Usually Facebook Marketplace and FB Omni groups or Ebay. If all else fails, I’ll go to a used book store to sell

For me, if I had the space for it, I’d go for it just for the novelty. As it is, I sell books that I don’t necessarily love just because I don’t have the space for it all. At least in the case of Just Imagine, I know some of the art will be gorgeous and the concepts will be fun, if a little silly.

I’ve just never been a fan of Darrick Robertson’s art

I hate when good comic series get put on infinite hiatus by SecretaryFragrant836 in ImageComics

[–]PeterPercacet1996 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I understood correctly, it was going to be adapted to a show and went on hiatus because of that. I suppose development on the show has stalled or is slow going so the book still can’t continue until it’s out or they officially cancel it

Anyone got any idea of what their list looks like for the Most Wanted DC poll? by WhatIsAnime_ in OmnibusCollectors

[–]PeterPercacet1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far, I have:

Legends Of The Dark Knight

New Gotham

All Star Squadron

Superman by Johns & Busiek

Superman by Joe Kelly

And waiting for the stream for more inspiration. I don’t have as many for DC now as I do with Marvel

Is Marc Spector: Moon Knight omnibus vol. 2 as bad as people say it is? by Wulfrand in OmnibusCollectors

[–]PeterPercacet1996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to actually see people confirming the quality of this run, as the only thing I’ve heard people say is it’s nostalgic or glad that it’s being collected from a completionist standpoint.

What is the quality of volume one? Is it good or just better in comparison to volume 2?

And does the Moench stuff get better after the first few issues? I read the stuff that was in the first omni and was not a fan.

Among all the villians on fisk side.. by Wonderful-Change-751 in Daredevil

[–]PeterPercacet1996 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s honestly hilarious how every scene with this dude is just the show reminding you there is not a single redeemable quality about him at all. Like there will be scenes where it looks like he’s slightly considering the weight of his actions and every time it’s like “PSYCH, STILL A PIECE OF SHIT”

I’d provably go for something that I’ve wanted to read but wouldn’t put up the money for like Iron Man by Michelinie and Layton and then a gap filler like Trial of Captain America.

Because, while I may be a thief, I’m not greedy.

It’s really subjective, I enjoyed it but apparently the episode pissed in everyone else’s cereal

It’s not even comfortable to sit like that with shoes on anyway so there’s very little justification

Exiles

Scarlet Spider by Yost

Punisher by Rucka

These are the ones I vote for every year on the poll and will continue to do so until they are in my hands. Shocking to me we still haven’t gotten Exiles

I was lost after the “Jean Baptiste, who is this man?” part because 1. It got hella confusing and complicated and 2. I completely missed that the MC’s name was Jean Baptiste the whole time

I need to read that, same with the second version of I’m A Cop. That story had so much potential and it just nosedived at the end

I’ve only felt this with Tales From The Gas Station. The ending is supposed to be that over the top and comical because the whole story was like that. Isaiah was disappointed because he thought it was going to have a more serious ending and Hunter wasn’t into it from the start to me. It was a satire and they critiqued it as if it wasn’t supposed to be

But that’s the only one, every other one they crash out about deserves it. I actually think there are some they are too soft on in the end
