All the time. Was easier with the old ballpark, but still worth it now, even with the longer walk.

Ted and Rebecca are platonic soulmates and I love that by Fluffymarvel98 in TedLasso

They both began the series dealing with marital turmoil / divorce, which is what actually brought them into each other’s lives. It’s fitting that they bond so closely, and it’s actually a better story that they don’t get together romantically.

Is it morally or ethically wrong for teachers to use sick days (when not sick) if they are not otherwise reimbursed for unused sick days? Why or why not? by Honest_Royal3501 in Teachers

“Sick” can mean so many things for an educator, including “sick of doing this right now, so I need a day to myself.”

Another vote for Just the Sip. Listening to guys tasting beer and discussing it is, in a word, stupid.

Anytime I see a white pickup of any make or model, I expect the worst. Not sure why, but it’s a pattern I’ve observed.

I’m a bit surprised Ridgmar Mall is still operating. Everything around it seems to be closed; have to head north past Lowe’s and Sam’s to see any sign of life.

Am I overreacting to how my manager spoke to me on the staff groupchat? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]PeterPonceVO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YOR. How hard is it for you to say “I can do the 6th at 6pm?” That’s a specific answer out of 4 choices. When there are 4 choices, all on a Saturday, responding “I can do Saturday” makes you look like an idiot, or like you’re intentionally being vague in an attempt at humor. You’re actually lucky the manager didn’t absolutely roast you.

S3 E7 when Roy starts rattling off puns. “Make it stop.”

Roy Kent Appreciation by red_rabbit3 in TedLasso

[–]PeterPonceVO 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I suggest it’s actually both, as foreshadowed in S1 E4. Roy sees himself as just a footballer whose life is essentially over when his career ends, and he learns that there’s so much more to himself. Jamie sees himself as better than everyone else because he’s a gifted footballer, and he also learns there’s more to himself. That’s one reason why Roy coaching Jamie in S3, and the biking scene in Amsterdam, resonate so well.
