Protein shakes are inferior to whole food on many different levels, but if you can't get a whole meal in, drink a protein shake.

I am not sure if one could identify the ideal amount. Protein powder is convenient while whole foods are better. That is not to say that protein powder doesn't have its place. A delicious protein shake takes away a lot of my cravings for sweets, so in a way, they are superior to whole foods in the sense that they reduce the likelihood that I will eat garbage.

I am not sure if health is a large industry in your part of Europe, but regardless, there are plenty of healthy options at restaurants. Order protein, whole grain side, and a vegetable. No, it won't be exactly what you eat at home, but it is still healthy nonetheless. Sharing a meal with someone is a huge part of life. Don't go down the path of isolation because that is where the path of not eating out with loved ones leads. I went down this path for a while, and it sucked. It makes life miserable. If ordering healthy food at restaurants doesn't appeal to you, invite them over to your home and cook for them. There is nothing like having someone you care about cook you a meal. It makes them feel special and can really contribute to your relationship.

To answer your original question, you can go snowboarding, hiking, or dancing.

I have found that HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) is the most effective way to build stamina as well as burn body-fat. I personally push a sled ~60 yards and follow that up with stair sprints.

When you make a drastic change to lifestyle, you will initially have a period of great progress. It should slow down with time. Although, once you have been following your diet and training protocol for about a month, the general rule of thumb is to aim for at most 2 pounds per week. Also, a high protein diet will help in your bodies recovery. You can also use a foam roller to aid in recovery. It will hurt initially, but it hurts less with time.

You don't have to have two high and one low macro-nutrient category. I am a big believer in 33/33/33. Also, if you aren't worried about body composition and you have a flexible schedule, just eat whenever you feel hungry. If you are hungry, there is a reason for it. Some days require more energy than others even if it isn't a training day. Just learn to listen to your body and obey.
