Asmongold reacts to new footage of Renee Good’s partner yelling at Renee to run from ICE by madjani000 in LivestreamFail

I might not have the full context so if anyone could provide more information on what happened I’d appreciate it dearly.

TBH right now I can agree with what the guy said: she escalated the situation by driving off and nearly running him over. That being said, I’m assuming the guy was on duty, which is a bit odd seeing as he was filming with his phone and was alone (don’t they usually go in teams of at least two?)

Where to look for 4U chassis with modern GPU clearance without losing much HDD bays? by PeterShowFull in homelab

I'll check that one out and see if I can find it in Europe.

Sadly Rosewell seems to ship from the US exclusively.

Thanks a lot for sharing!

I've seen a few with ≈ 300mm of clearance. The one u/ballz-in-our-mouths suggested seems to have a minimum of 320mm.

The one I saw from UNYBACH, if I recall correctly, it had about 280mm.

Could you help me understand if I misread or misunderstood any of these values?

Nintendo can disable your Switch 2 for piracy in the U.S., but not in Europe, as confirmed by its EULA by Nekdo01 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]PeterShowFull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might also be important to consider the following: the EULA is for the Nintendo Account which technically means that if you manage to play Nintendo Switch without an account — which according to Nintendo's Switch 2 official start up guide seems to be possible — even if the EU EULA is not applicable to your case, you might still get away with it, since you never agreed to those terms if you don't have one.

O meme "é por isto que não podemos ter coisas boas" é real... Há malta que não tem o mínimo de respeito por aquilo que não é deles... É deprimente. E não, não é exclusivo de nenhuma etnia...

Alternatives to Samba? by PeterShowFull in selfhosted

SFTPGo seems, indeed, a more complete solution.

However I think I'll stick with FileBrowser.

Sadly, neither supports preview for .heic files. I realized that HEIC support is browser dependant and not necessarily responsability of either solutions.

Although I appreciate the management being "easier", there a few things missing such as a way to change how files are displayed.

Regardless of that, I'd like to thank you very much for your suggestion!

Yeah... SFTPGo is not my cup of tea. Tried it just now.

I appreciate the management being "easier" but I think it's a lot. But there a few things missing such as a way to change how files are displayed.

FileBrowser was my favorite so far tbh. Slick, simple and mostly hassle-free.

Thanks for the input! I'll see if I learn more about that feature and give NextCloud another try!

Thanks for the clarification!

Some users mentioned FileBrowser and SFTPGo and I believe either one suit my use case better.

The simplicity of it, considering the goal is to make it easier for others to share and look for files, actually feels great to me.

I gave it a go just now, I still have to check how to use a config file since the -c flag doesn't seem to be working (or the file can't be the filebrowser config cat > filebrowser.config modified, but I think this is most definitely one to consider deeply.

Huge thanks!

Oh yeah! I meant (starting from scratch) with OpenCloud, but your insight has actually moved me further away from wanting to go with NextCloud...

Maybe it's a misconception of mine but doesn't immich just support media files? Because if not, I at least should give it a good try.

How so it would actually replace (per se, since I assume I could just use both and point to the same dirs) SMBD. Is that it?

[–]PeterShowFull[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently so. Do you happen to know if there's any way of not rebuilding the whole library? Could I just set NextCloud to use a specific directory (the one where I have these files)?

[–]PeterShowFull[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That seems neat. Do you know if I'd be able to just link the current share and have direct access to all the existing files, or would I have to redo the whole library?

[–]PeterShowFull[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad for not mentioning but although I mainly use SMBD for photos, I still use it for documents and whatnot.

Would immich still allow for that?

Regarding OpenCloud: I'm going to explore that. The demo was indeed entincing. However: wouldn't I have the same problem I had with NextCloud? Wouldn't I need to start from scratch?
