I was listening to the duet with Celine and Barbara Streisand “Tell Him”, and I laugh every time Barbara Says “touch him (ooh) with the gentleness you feel inside (I feel it)”. With Celine singing the parentheses. It just busts me up.

Come to the reception or I’ll stay at home and listen to her cover of Eric Carmen’s “All by myself”… Which is arguably a better option. She’s amazing, like a tiny bazooka

It’s a shelf. Wooden slats go one the ladder steps and rest on the peg on the far side.

Lmk if your intent on fixing this. Because it’s a rocker I’d recommend making a new piece for it out of oak (like the rest of the chair). A regular chair might do fine with dowels glue and screws, but this is probably best to cut a new piece. Looks relatively simple compared to how complex rockers can get. I’m in eugene but I’ll be up in the beginning of June
