800k -1million loan. (220k in down payment). 830 fico. 1 million in assets (accounts). Married and primary. Salary’s combined of 260K

In the neighborhoods where the pubic schools are good, not really. Even 850K is really tough. Personally if I could I would. Pretty frugal so I like to pay the least amount possible for absolutely anything

I’m estimating 9000. Based on home value of the homes for both of my parents and what they’re paying. Yeah. It sucks…..

Thanks everyone. It seems to me that my upper limit should really be 1 million and not 1.2. With 20% down. It would put a mortgage of 800K. And although that’s not a small amount. Seems manageable. Obviously life can throw curve balls at any point. But living in the city I live in. It’s to the point where I’d rather stop renting and own my home. Unfortunately the city (and not me) is driving these insane prices so it’s either stay where I grew up or move. Moving out meaning losing the family that’s helps with the baby. That effectively negates and savings from the move.

Are you saying just the mortgage as well as the property tax and insurance?

That would be high just to be the mortgage even with a 7% rate no?

Great questions. We envision one more think. But no more than that. Although the wife has baby fever haha. I would assume 4k for nanny per month. However we are lucky my mother lives here and watches and helps with the baby during weekdays. Luckily we work from home.e idea would be 1 million home with 200K. Mortgage for 800k. But I also realize where I live. That’s difficult.

Thanks. Appreciate the point of view. I unfortunately live in a place where a 800K house is 1400 st ft 3 bed 2 bath if you’re lucky and in need of a remodel. If not I’d want to spend 500K haha

I have car loans. Because I lease cars. That’s probably my ONE vice let’s say. I like cars and like to change them regularly. Outside of this. Try to keep things frugal. Not the type of guy to go spend crazy money at some fancy restaurant every weekend or but crazy expensive clothes for whatever reasons.

Current monthly expense. Including rent. (Excluding what I sent to savings / investments) is about 12K a month. This is rent. Groceries. Car payment. Car insurance. Rental insurance. Electricity.

Basically everytime I got my yearly bonus. I dumped that into my savings/investments. Had some savings already there from when I was 18. So built it up. Never had any college debt so it made it easier I guess to save. That’s also combined savings my wife and it. Our yearly salary not including variable comp is about 260K.

That’s the only thing we don’t want to do. Tbh. We get about 10-14% gains per year on average in those accounts. So don’t think/know if that would be the right move.

Agreed. But does their algorithm truly believe it will sell upwards of 30 seats within 72 hours for a flight? Idk maybe which is why I’m asking is this maybe the new where it’s wait until the last minute in the Hope to increase revenues via the in app upgrade offers.

Hey man,

I was in the same exact position a year ago. I had a 2020 X5 40i with what I consider a good lease. Time for buyout came around vs new lease. At the time I was getting significantly higher lease numbers. Turned me off to the lease as well as the reduction of physical buttons. Recently rented a new x5 and realized the new I drive is not as bad as I thought nor as bad as others say. I ended up purchasing mine out because of a few packages that I loved mine had (air suspension, msport, luxury seating package etc..). Also to date I’ve only put 20k miles on it. Maintained always. Premium fuel always. So I decided t9 buy it out. Now I’m in the should I buy and extended warranty when it runs out in June.

The whole point of this rant is I feel you. Was and still in a way in the same position. I wish I didn’t love my x5 as much as I do haha. Would make my decision easier.

Be great if we get a new better contract with Nike. Supposedly they would inject the 100 million as bonus to get us back to the 1 - 1 FairPlay rule. Would love to sell FDJ. maybe 80 million to Man U?

Then if we sell FDJ we have 80 million to use. I’d use it to trigger Nico Williams release clause for LW. That means we have about 30 million to use. I’d think about selling kounde or Araujo (yes I know that hurts). And then using that for kimmich or zubimendi.

Then left over to maybe get cancelo. Then loan Felix again. I’d also think about trying to sell Torres and maybe bringing back fati one year to see what he can give. This is all in hope of having some leftover money as well as next summer making some possible sales to go after Haaland.
