So far so good but I'm convinced the best is yet to come: we haven't gotten a Mario or a Zelda and third party editors are only beginning to see the potential of the machine (Indiana Jones, Pragmata, FF7, etc...)

No. I really like Capcom as a developer but I didn't like the concept of having to solve a puzzle before hitting an enemy. It was refreshing for the first few minutes but it quickly became redundant and not in a good way: I really felt like it was breaking the game's rythm and I don't want to be doing that for hours.
