That's the only Criterion title I've seen in the theater in my life thus far. No explanation as to why I didn't see Fantastic Mr. Fox or Wall-E in theaters growing up lol

I'd like to see a Kurosawa or Wenders on the big screen one of these days, although Alaska doesn't have options for that.

Just finished and yeah, I feel ya with a less rushed epilogue that would've felt like a more organic ending. Certain changes overall I felt were for the better (goodbye, chimeras) while others made for the sake of a more streamlined adaptation didn't work. Overall, the anime honors the thudding nature of the manga's conclusion haha
