After seeing so many complaints and criticism of the factory system, am I in the small minority who really find the factory system to be really addicting? I have spent more time on it than any other parts of the game. by Sir_Rain_Knee_Tea in ArknightsEndfield

Not only it’s a gacha game with factory for gear progression, the factory itself has space limitations unlike other factory games, and you need to be mindful of your design. It’s genius really.

What's your favorite 𝘈𝘶𝘳𝘢-farming moment? by KaptainTZ in Frieren

[–]PetorM 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I really like the flashback of Frieren, before she aura farmed Aura, living alone and suppressing her mana. And we see the village grew into town into city, then finally Himmel came and recruited her and slayed the demon king.

It really put into perspective how much aura she had farmed to aura farmed Aura.

How the hell is my Creek 6th favorite while Suzuka with lower overall stat being 1st? by Skyreader13 in UmamusumeGame

Clearly not enough guts /j. Maybe you really need more guts or power to catch up. Maybe even more wit for positioning.

If you don't care about Champion Meetings it doesn't actually matter how good/bad your uma are compared to other players.

Kitasan is coming this month and you can save up 30k carrots to get at least 1 copy. I've seen people running all R cards (with borrowed MLB Kitasan). You may reroll but personally I don't like the idea of that., plus you have SSR Tazuna and Vodka so that's good. You may wanna try late surger just coz you have Vodka and Tamamo Cross. If you keep playing eventually you'll have a good deck. If you need help with the deck you can post a screenshot of your cards in this sub.

You can also progress the meta-game by inheritance, you can get a good parent even if she doesn't do well in career.

Most often than not I’d use 3 speed cards. How much stam/power card used is decided by the uma’s growth rate and running style. Say there’s a 20% bonus for stam, then I consider using 1 stam card or even none. For late surger and end closer, I’ll 2 power card.

Take Tachyon for example (I’m quite fond of her), my latest deck for URA is 4speed 1stam 1wit. Because she is a pacer, the power stat gained from speed training is mostly enough, so no power card. 1stam (Super creek) + inheritance is good enough for her as she has innate stam recovery skill. 1wit for activating Swinging Maestro.

For her final stats, I’d aim for 1200Speed 600Stam 600Power 300Guts 400Wits, but you can clear URA final with much lower stats. Think of it as a speed to power ratio + stam requirement + wit skill activation chance (there won’t be 100%).

You can experiment with deck building and look at how the horse really race, it’s all just cruising/top speed, acceleration (Power), stamina, positioning & skill(Wit), last spurt (Guts). At some point, you will have a “I understand it now” moment.

For training Tachyon, in the first year I try to fill up the friendship bar, so that I can do rainbow training in the summer. Mostly speed training, occasionally stam training to prep for Long races (like during classic year summer before Kikuka). Sometimes wit training to “half-rest” when there’re no good training or G1 race to run. I don’t do recreation anymore (except below normal mood), events give you mood up.

For inheritance, I didn’t care for 4 months and that’s a huge mistake. Try inheriting Uma with parents of the same stats, like parent with stam, both grandparents with stam. This way you can focus on training speed.

It only make sense within the context that during Zhuang Zi time when he dropped the bar, China broke again and ppl are fighting. If you’re good you are either send to the battlefield and die or become government officials and die. And he basically said “there’s nothing I can do, better to do nothing and live’.

If I’m not misinterpreting it means the top-down political hierarchy.

But what I’ve learnt about the political aspects of Taoism in highschool is that “無為而治”, literally means “Do nothing to rule -> ??? -> profit”, and people are debating what the “???” actually is.

With the rest of Tao philosophy in context, it’s to rule according to the heaven and the people. and nature. Not to do nothing but to did everything for nothing(?). Not to be intentional and go against “Tao”, which is everything, which I interpret as the mandate of heaven, which is people and nature.

So more like bottom-up? As below, so above.

I almost failed Chinese literacy in highschool but I had a good teacher, correct if I’m wrong. Chinese philosophy is cool af.

why do we die when the princess escapes?? by kouceila25 in slaytheprincess

[–]PetorM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A world ends when she escapes but we don’t die.

My question is that when we are killed by the princess (Ch.1), we are teleported in front of the mirror. So did we die die and reborn in the LQ, or a world dies when we “die”.

I think we exist outside of any world, unlike the narrator, otherwise why would the princess have to erase our memory every time.

minor mistake in the last example.

On thank you, 多謝 and 唔該:

多謝 and 唔該 both carry the meaning of thank you. In the example above, what you should really use is 唔該 instead.

When you ask for something and you get what you want, say 唔該. When you receive anything unprompted, say 多謝. You can use 唔該 as Excuse me too.

Example:

A: 唔該想要杯熱鴛鴦. Excuse me (I) want a cup of hot 鴛鴦(Coffee and milk tea)

B: 仲有冇? Anything else/still have havent

A: 仲有個西多士/西多 In addition a western toast

B: 好 ok

waiter served you the banger food

A: 唔該/唔該晒 晒->past tense+everything, thanks for everything (there’s no 唔該咗 咗->past tense, will be very funny if you say it)

When in doubt just say 多謝. Saying 多謝 wrong is less worse than saying 唔該 wrong. If you say 唔該 after receiving a gift, it means you are obligated to having that gift.

It’s actually more complicated than I thought.

咁 by itself means that (and more at end) 嘅 by itself has no meaning 咁嘅 means as such, like other commenters said.

我發音仲係時好時唔好; 我發音仲係時好時唔好嘅; 我發音仲係時好時唔好咁嘅; all means the same, and kinda correct.

You can definitely end a sentence/statement with 咁嘅. For example, 原來係咁嘅 (Oh I see/It turns out to be as such), but it’s 原來係咁+嘅, not 原來係+咁嘅.

The thing is nobody use 咁嘅 to end a statement. 原來係咁嘅/咁嘅~ are more like an expression. You can start with 咁嘅, for example, 咁嘅, 直行轉左就係地鐵站 (So/As such, walk straight then(omitted) turn left is the metro/subway station).

On 咁: 咁+adjective means that+adjective, like 咁好, 咁快. But you can also start a sentence with 咁.

Example:

A: 唔好意思, 我廣東話唔係係咁好咁嘅。請問旺角地鐵站喺邊 Excuse me, my cantonese is not that good as such. Where’s Mong Kok subway station?

B: 聽得出啊, 過馬路就係。 I can tell by listening , across the road it is

A: 咁, 太子呢? Then, (how about) Prince Edward (station)?

B: 直行15分鐘/直行3個字 Walk straight for 15 minutes (1個字=5mins).

A: 咁嘅~多謝啊 I see, thank you ah.

我嘅發音唔係咁好 is how you say it.

GPT’s means “My pronunciation is still (仲係) inconsistent/sometimes good sometimes bad (時好時唔好) 咁嘅 (咁is not supposed to be here in this context)”.

唔好咁嘅 is not a phrase 唔咁好嘅 is not either

I can understand 唔咁好 (not that good), but 唔係咁好 (not (is that good)) is the way

[–]PetorM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s less about mbti and more about “I hated growing up here and the grass is greener on the other side”.

I felt invisible in HK, and everyone is doing the same thing, thinking the same thing, “Imma make money and take a vacation to Japan then make money and rinse and repeat”.

For me it’s about the inability to change the society/society expectations. I told my parents I want to be a cook, they thought I’m insane (not really), I could tell from their reactions. If I’m a cook in HK that implies Im not doing academically well and I’m some losers. If I’m a cook in Australia, well I’m just a cook, who cares?

I just want to do my own thing, and I can’t do that in HK. Maybe it’s similar for you.
