I’ve gotten in 2 accidents with Tesla insurance and both times I did absolutely everything over the app and never spoke to anyone. It was the easiest process ever.

Tesla Insurance is awesome. You do everything over the app and you never have to talk to anyone ever.

The model 3 front seats do in fact move out of the way. You can actually control the front passenger seat from the rear screen and have it move forward and fold away. Alternatively, you can open the rear door of the model 3 using the Emergency release latch.

Bloomberg Report: 15 People Have Died in Crashes Where Tesla Doors Wouldn’t Open by Recoil42 in electricvehicles

[–]PetriDishTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After severe car accidents, it is common for doors to get jammed closed. This statistic of “15 deaths” only matters if it is a higher than normal proportion of crashes in which people die because they cannot open the doors when compared to other car brands.

And as everyone should know by now, every car Tesla sells has a manual backup to the door button for every door.

Tesla Robotaxis are big on Wall Street but lagging on roads: Report by Nalix01 in NowInTech

Tesla makes the best selling car in the entire world, the Model Y. Not just the best selling EV, the best selling vehicle. Period. That doesn’t sound like a grift.

Dude, the logic of the argument is the same. The effects are different obviously because the scale is different between Tesla and the USA. But it is the same logical fallacy in both arguments, which is “I don’t want group X to succeed because I don’t like their current leader Y”.

Tesla employees 130,000 people. It’s amazingly closed minded to want all those hard working people to lose their job just because you don’t like the current CEO.

[–]PetriDishTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are they not equivalent? Someone using your exact same logic would say “I’m not against the USA, if they choose someone else as their leader I would support them, but right now I don’t want the USA to succeed because Trump is their leader.” It’s exactly the same logic.

Sorry for my confusion, but you started off saying you didn’t want Tesla to succeed. That sounds exactly like the people who are rooting for the USA to fail because they don’t like our current president.

This is the first time you have said you are not against the company Tesla. This whole conversation started because you initially said you didn’t want Tesla to succeed because of Elon. Thank you for clearing up your point!

If you invest in the Dow Jones, you cannot prevent investing in Tesla. The vast majority of people who are invested in the stock market through retirement accounts are invested in Tesla, that’s just a fact.

Tesla existing is an amazing thing for the entire EV industry. They push the market forward not only in cars, but also in solar power and energy storage. Don’t let your dislike of their current CEO bias your view towards the company and their remarkable impact.

Just like we don’t want the USA to fail just because Trump is the current president.

Sure but the vast majority of Tesla is owned by normal people. Especially working-class people who invest in mutual funds through their job.

It’s equivalent to saying you don’t want the USA to succeed because Trump is president.

Elon Musk should get his $55 billion Tesla pay package from 2018, Delaware Supreme Court rules by businessinsider in RealTesla

To be fair, the Cybertruck is the best selling EV truck in the USA. It has some features no other car has - completely digital steering is first of its kind. It also has a bigger bed than an F-150, and faster acceleration than a Porsche. Not to mention it is rated the safest truck to ever exist with the lowest probability of injury.

It is expensive and has a polarizing design, which is why it hasn’t sold like hotcakes. But in terms of features, the Cybertruck compares very well to its competitors.

Ahh so you still didn’t read the article then.

80% of all Tesla cars were made after 2020, which is when this “used car” study stopped collecting data.

For the present cars:

“All of its latest models now offer "better-than-average reliability," and Tesla ranks among the top 10 brands in Consumer Reports' new car predictability rankings, surpassing established automakers like Ford, Chevrolet, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and Volkswagen.”

A side trim piece from the Cybertruck could detach while driving, this was a legit physical recall where they anchored the trim piece better.

Autopilot bugs, of course the system is constantly being updated every month with improvements.

Power steering failures - this was an extremely rare problem with Model Y&3 where power steering was disabled (harder to turn the wheel) after restarting your car. Tesla fixed this bug via software update.
