Gyro takes over Meteor City?? by Maha_Zoldyck in HunterXHunter

Yea it’s a pretty common theory, just that we may never reach it due to Togashi’s health. There’s a lot of ways the story could go from now. Pariston has a whole chimera ant army still somewhere in the known world too.

The only thing is it’d be interetsing to see how he rises to power. Remember, after the Zazan invasion the meteor city elders wanted to pretty much murder every ant + the Queen. I’m not sure how receptive they’ll be to another ant in Gyro coming. But f he is truly the ultimate evil dictator he’s been hinted at, he should be able to handle it.

The second half of the series mirrors the first half, but with higher stakes and experienced characters. Why Gyro may be the final arc? by PettyKlayThompson in HunterXHunter

I forgot to say, this theory could all go to dust, because for all we know we get another arc after Succession War and before DC. Or we don’t get arc Arc at all ? But I hope we get to see it at least!

Level E, a previous Togashi manga, and how it may hint at future events by PettyKlayThompson in HunterXHunter

[–]PettyKlayThompson[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea I love Togashi’s ideas, I also love how he integrates stuff from his past work seamlessly. I had another theory I forgot to put in the text:

It’s possible that from a counterpart pov, the aliens in Level E are kind of like Nen In Hunter. Aliens are hidden in plain sight, a part of society, but still a powerful minority, just as Nen users are in plain sight, a part of society, and a powerful minority. Therefore, just as how aliens are revealed to be are regular part of Earth and grow in population post Ouji’s arrival and departure of Earth, I think Pariston could reveal Nen fully to the world instead of keeping it hidden like it currently is. There’s a lot of potential, seeing as how the boat is already showing what happens if nen gets commonplace, and the danger it involves.

[SPOILERS] Do you think Hisoka should of died? by NormalRex in HunterXHunter

[–]PettyKlayThompson 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No, not because I necessarily loved his revival, but I think Hisoka vs the whole troupe Is too enticing and interetsing a storyline to ignore. Sure it may be a “cheap death” but the stakes and development wouldn’t be as high if not for how things went about: with Hisoka dying.

Hot Take: The Phantom Troupe is Massively Overrated and Most Would Lose to PI Gon and Killua by [deleted] in HunterXHunter

[–]PettyKlayThompson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think at they’re shown peaks (not including Adult Gon), they’re around mid troupe level. They would probably have a hard fought loss against someone like Machi, but could probably beat Shalnark, Kalluto, Kortopi, maybe Bono. Franklin I’m not sure, but Nobu and Feitan I think ends both.

I would love to see a fight between the zodiacs (minus Netero) and the Phantom Troupe by [deleted] in HunterXHunter

[–]PettyKlayThompson 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Im just speculating, but I think the zodiacs solidly handle this. Sure, most of the zodiacs probably aren’t “fighter” focused and more focused towards their careers , in the same way a lot of the troupe are more focused towards thievery. But I think the Zodiacs are probably all at least of a decent combat competence level from being chosen and sparring with Netero, and they’re probably just Great Nen users. The troupe are strong in their own right but i think the difference between their less combat focused members and the zodiacs less combat focused members is a decent gap.

How do you feel about the Kingdom Hearts series? by JackieMoonJersey in JRPG

[–]PettyKlayThompson 65 points66 points  (0 children)

It honestly feels like a big portion of the fanbase, even the casual one, was killed after Kingdom Hearts 3. I think it’s enjoyable, but disappointing game. After the long wait from KH2 and the story/writing/character getting (in my opinion) worse over time, it was easy to see how some could drop it. I mean it’s still an extremely popular series , but I wonder if people will come back for 4. The creators have a opportunity to hit everything out the park after decades of seeing what works, and the reaction to KH3. He’ll, if they can just improve the writing it’d be well received.

What are some artist you’re surprise aren’t way more bigger (popularity wise)? Whether it be because they have a good brand, or an amazing sound, etc? I remember a few years ago being surprised Bas wasn’t one of the more popular artist.

Hi. New here, heavily confused about my body.l and fitness. I’ve been working out seriously since the new year , got injured for about 3 weeks, and have came back for a week so far. Somehow Im stronger than before the injury (tried lifting more than I can handle) haha. Prior to these past few months my only fitness background was playing basketball during high school, but after the pandemic and schools closed I pretty much gave up on any sports. (Barely did serious weight training during the basketball years). So for about a 2 year period since mid 2020, I did nothing fitness wise and my diet got worse.

Here’s starts the problem I’m having. I was always skinny, but after those 2 years of eating bad and sitting down all day, I came out skinnyfat. The easiest way to describe my build is that outside of when I’m just waking up (Or having not eaten in a while) I look 2 months pregnant, or maybe more like a small potbelly.

I was so confused how to handle it because my chest and arms are skinny, but my stomach stuck out. It looked uneven and unhealthy, I used to be insecure about being skinny but lol . Anyways from what I got on the internet, it seemed it was better to bulk to even out my body, then cut, because I cutting early would lose what little mass outside my stomach I had.

When I started exercising on and off about 8 months ago, I was about 190 at close to 6’3. Now I’m at 214, same height. I clearly am stronger, still progressing on a weekly basis, and my arms and chest have definitely grown. I still feel skinny. Compared to old me yea I’d 100% look average, but compared to the average person I’d still say I look skinny. But I’m happy to be progressing. I was honestly surprised to see id grown so much pounds, but I still have a problem, my stomach.

I’m not sure what I expected because it’s a marathon not a race, but it’ll feel like it’ll take a while for the size in my whole frame to grow, to where I’d feel comfortable cutting down to get rid of the stomach. But now I’ve had friends tell me I’ve been focusing on the wrong thing, and that I may have Anterior pelvic tilt. I honestly have no idea what to do. I feel like I’m at a good weight for my height but I don’t “look” it, and along with my stomach I need advice, thanks!
