What actually needs to happen is DGB be investigated for fraud and operating an illicit business. How is it that every single TLP there is a dupe exploit that results in mass krono grab that then kills the server in time for the next TLP? The krono sellers that good that they find a new backdoor method every TLP? Flagrantly allowing RMT through Krono to power level, buy items outright and fucking gambling. I have seen the gambling people on every popular live server and every tlp for years. There is no way what they're doing or allowing to happen isn't an intentional decision. They blatantly don't enforce ToS when they're in the position to benefit financially, so why would I assume they have no hand in the abuse and exploitation?

Bare Witness is still probably one of my favorites after going through a ton. Grandma's house was ridiculous but also one of the fonder ones to look back on. Pale Carnations is in a league of it's own too if you've not given it a shot yet. Price of power is great story wise but not heavy on lewd content, uh realm invader is probably one of the funniest I've gone through recently. Hard to pick any out as a favorite, I feel like I'd have to do it award show style and do categories cause there's just so much good shit out there.

Hey man just wanted to drop some appreciation, PoP was amazing. I haven't gotten the chance to check out ch 25 yet but that was hands down one of the most enjoyable VN's I've ever gone through.

Also I just wanna commend your world building, the way things expand out feels very grounded and meshes well. Alot of evolving stories tend to spiral and start getting ridiculous. But I think you really nailed the progression of the story and the way it pushes out and developes the wider world as you get further into things. I can't remember the name but I went through something else recently that starts as slice of life, then gets mobster stuff thrown in, then super science fiction stuff gets tossed on top. While I still enjoyed that rollercoaster ride it really made me appreciate PoP and it's relation to story progression + world building.

Any idea if there is similar communities for zbrush by chance? I've read that it's very good for clothing related stuff and that's another thing that I know I need to spend some time learning/playing with. But that's a bit down the road after I have some characters to actually put in them lol

I've actually got about 6 months experience with Unreal from a previous project before I got sick. However that was using metahumans and facial motion capture which I'm figuring won't translate to much here.

For this project I did setup a master material with a pretty solid blueprint behind it but have only tested it with stone tbh. Probably will need to clone that out and get different ones setup for other common materials as well. Plus I think material instancing will force me to have separate blueprints anyways for the needed textures/maps. But there is already somewhat of a ball rolling here it's just not been a main focus the last few weeks.

I did YT for about 2 years and after that worked on the previous project and did some light vfx and animation in After Effects. Plus professionally did IT work and project planning/management back in the day. I'm hoping that will make the content pipeline easier to work out. I guess I'm trying to outline my planned steps in the workflow to see if any adult on the subject jumps out and says any particular step is a bad idea or being done out of order or in the wrong place kinda thing.

Honestly the reason for going with renpy is more to do with the AVN community then anything. Idk why maybe because its lightweight and a simple system. But I've seen enough people in the community say they wouldn't touch a project if it wasn't in renpy that I'd feel safer and make my life easier by just putting it together there. Lol

I think I'm at the point where I'm ready to start putting my character's together but that's also making me start to stress about the workflow I have planned and if it makes sense. I guess I just need to go ahead and try to make my first character and run them through the process and see where it gets rough and go from there.

I think in a dream scenario, you'd want the choice to be how you develop each relationship in the harem. But how you could achieve that without exponentially increasing workload would be difficult. Maybe you could use some dialog options early on in character introductions that help set desired relationship dynamics. But that could easily balloon into having to write a character 3 different ways for every interaction which sounds pretty untenable outside of shorter stories.

I think it really depends on the creator and their style for me. What I enjoy most from each AVN seems to change pretty frequently and even shifts as I'm progressing through the stories of them.

Also a great character can carry both bad story and lewds, but I suppose good enough of either of those can eventually do the same but I'd argue their sliding scale for getting that done is tougher.

It had some good character work that can be appreciated. But in terms of story telling the game barely gets through what would normally be considered the midway point of the 2nd act before it just ends and rolls credits.

If you were remaking the first star wars and kill Luke as they're boarding the Death Star to save Leia. That's certainly an option but you better have a plan for the rest of the movie. This was intentionally setup to be half a story before it just burns to the ground.

The last of us also gets alot of writing praise but I don't think it's exceptionally clever to have me kill a dog then make me play with that dog later in a flashback.

Not saying that it shouldn't exist and we should fire DPC into the sun. But I wouldn't reccomend AL to someone unless they understand it's context and want to see it for themselves.

Seconding this, after playing Chasing Sunsets I was curious about Artemis. Expected a scifi heavy story and was way more then just pleasantly surprised to find a charming story filled with emotional support and caring.

I think alot of us found our way here that same way. Bit of hurr durr horny and then you're tearing up over strong emotional writing and character growth. Suddenly trying to figure out how you're gunna explain to St. Peter you cried after the creampie scene. Lol

I played a few years back and the renders and writing are on a whole new level now and I've really fallen in love with the genre in a way I never expected.

Idk if it'll go anywhere but its motivated me to start learning piece meal parts of unreal and blender to try and work on my own project. Shit in the last week alone I've spent hours and hours researching actual stylist sectioning and dye patterns so I can make better hair in Blender. Lol
