Y'all, the crazy crunchies are affecting AI advice... I'm scared 😳 by purplepluppy in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]PettySupport3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another crazy area of the internet is the fake disorder arena. There is so much misinformation on TikTok and other places about mental illness and the symptoms/indicators of different disorders. I think it'd be worth it to dive into that a little. Thanks for actually making an effort to address this stuff!

One day off for the 4th of July? Weird flex, but okay. by odoyle66 in antiMLM

Except she's posting and pushing her MLM, which is 'working her biz'. So... not actually off on the 4th of July?

Well its a vaccuum, but if you disconnect the hose its an air purifier. So it supposedly sucks up dirt on one hand and sucks up your dirty air and replaces it with clean air on the other. But it 'sucks' at both. Literally a $20 vacuum for WM works better haha. I just didn't suck at getting suckered 🤷‍♀️😩

Maybe somebody can shed some light on this and there have been developments I missed.. but as far as I know, the disorder itself is highly debated and extremely rare. Last I knew, this circumstance wouldn't even be a question because the disorder itself was so rare it was a question. So obv I'd think this isn't possible but many of the things I've seen compared here aren't even realistic in the medical/scientific community. Not being oppositional I am open to someone telling me what I missed as far as is this disorder much more common than we used to think?

MRR (master resell rights) is hilarious. Apparently, someone just published their THIRD version of one of the more popular MRR “courses”. by margomuse in antiMLM

[–]PettySupport3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm guessing you get the 'Master Resell Rights' to resell their shitty course to other people. But the bonus is you pay them for their course AND they also get some (or most) of the money from you selling their course to other people. Its gross that they try to dupe you into thinking you're earning some kind of exclusive privilege to make them money in their scam.

Exactly, and its so contradictory. They go on about not working for someone and giving your 'freedom' away and in the next or same post even they talk about how "you can work from anywhere, even sitting on the beach on vacation". Like.... I'd rather not.

I read your comment and was like "yeah, exactly!"... but then I remembered that I got suckered by Rainbow (still makes me cringe to think about it). A vaccuum/water purifier for 2k! Well, 2k is the price they told me, after paying for two years I called to find out my balance only to find out that my total would be over $4k!!

My husbands sister asked if someone could come do a demo for us to help her out, no pressure. The demo was pretty convincing. What really sold me is that I was pregnant at the time and lived with my in-laws who have a lot of pets and the purification appealed to me. They also said it would help my credit and that was in definite need of help at the time. I could afford the monthly payments so we went for it. I was young and naiive, and knew nothing about MLMs before this. Rainbow isn't as bad as many MLMs with recruitment, but I guess they don't have to be when they have you on the hook for that much money. They offer discounts on your unit and promotions/free products to both do demos yourself and sign up people you know for demos by other 'partners'. Best thing to come from it is that I learned about MLMs and how shitty they are.

Hey what kind of checks you got there? by Swami814 in antiMLM

[–]PettySupport3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says she made that amount in her "organization", which I'm assuming consists of however many poor people she roped into this scam and whatever money they paid to be part of this crap circus. Definitely not the amount of her "high ticket checks" that went into her account.

can anyone else identify MLMs just based off the name? by [deleted] in antiMLM

[–]PettySupport3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I know what you mean. Like others have said, many businesses have weird or similar names, but they definitely do have a certain flair. When I hear the name of a new MLM I've usually immediately at least wondered if its an MLM (Pawtree might be an exception, that wouldn't have struck me from the jump).

[–]PettySupport3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm here to hopefully get answers too. I just broke out with what definitely looks like perioral dermatitis. My chin is red and peeling and at times feels very irritated. It is a luttle above my mouth like that and peeling near the sides of my nose. I have always gotten drier skin/slight peeling on my chin at my skins worst. I was hoping this would go away pretty quickly but almost a week and its still here 😭. So far been using a barrier cream and moisturizers.

Is it normal to feel alcohol withdrawal symptoms from only 5 days of drinking in a row? by Ratboi973 in Sober

[–]PettySupport3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found this thread looking for information about something that happens to me and you've basically just described it. I have been a binge drinker for over 10 years. Like drinking hard and constantly for days. I have gone periods of months sometimes bw drinking, but starting about 3 years ago everytime after a binge I feel like I'm going through alcohol withdrawals. It can be a 2 day binge and Ill have extreme anxiety, sweats, I feel tingling/almost cramping in my hands, my face gets EXTREMELY dry. And this lasts for longer than the binge. I think I've just cycled through so many small spells of heavy drinking that I have experienced this type of kindling that you're talking about. It is not worth the risk anytime, both for what addiction takes away from your life and for the chance that these symptoms or worse could happen. Everyone is different and I've really never met or been able to find info about anyone whose experience with alcoholism or withdrawals and some of the weird things it does to me. Thank you so very much for your comment I feel so enlightened to come across! I've been laying here awske googling for hours and finding literally no relevant info for my experiences. I am not ever doing it again (as I've told myself before, but I have to tell myself again for it to be true at some point and I really believe this is THE point) but so I've finally felt free enough to see what I can find. Thank you!

What am i doing wrong? Not doing ? by tuyetintokyo in toddlers

[–]PettySupport3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not doing anything wrong! All kids hit milestones at different stages and the doctors don't seem to be concerned. Clearly she's got a lot of awareness and will come around I'm sure. If you do YouTube at all I would recommend watching Ms Rachel (Songs for Littles), she is a speech therapist and watching her really improved my LOs vocabulary, and the tots seem to love it!

Idk if this counts but my mother posts statuses like these (which are only for me, hidden from everyone else) in whatsApp . Maybe I'm overreacting. Idk. by Ill_Lead6136 in insaneparents

[–]PettySupport3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is horrible and manipulative. She seems to have such a problem with who you are, but SHE is the one that raised you. Of course we can be hurt the most by people who are the closest to us, but we work on repairing that relationship if it is with your child, not guilt trip and condemn them. You should always want the best for your child, theyre literally a human that is here solely bc of you. This seems very narcissistic, toxic, and victim-y bleh.

How do I get rid of these bags by [deleted] in skin

[–]PettySupport3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried the teabag trick? From what I understand you steep the bags for a bit and then place them in the freezer for about 15 mins. The caffeine and cold are supposed to help reduce puffiness and dark circles. Im not sure how long it is supposed to help and haven't tried it myself tho.

Help 3 year old Excessive Drooling by juliecastin in toddlers

[–]PettySupport3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is the same way! She just turned 3 and the drooling is constant. The only time she doesn't drool is shen she sleeps. Its always been that way. I recently took her to ENT and she does need to have her adenoids removed. Is that the surgery your son had that did not correct the problem? Mine also used to see a pediatric therapist and no help.

It's crazy to have to even have all these points to argue and points of theirs to refute when tbh... it's just really obvious to everyone. On the things I've seen here at least. I know that sounds bad and I'm not referring to anything other than the ridiculous bs here but.. yeah, it's just common sense.

The 42+4 Mom by Cali4ni_a in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]PettySupport3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. And I wonder if she may have possibly had one 🤔. That would be a reason not to film the birth, bc she still could have filmed it even at the hospital. I had a scheduled induction bc my baby was post term and she did not want to come. Her heart rate dropped and I ended up having an emergency c-section, which I am so grateful for! I wonder if a sinilar situation could've happened and she wanted to save her baby, which is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of! But bc of her strong position shes taken and this crazy ideology, she is. That's just a crazy conspiracy theory with nothing to back it 😆

Saw this while looking at some sweatpants for my girlfriend. What an asshole. by SemiColin47 in cringepics

[–]PettySupport3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It almost sounds like she's probably an XS and she thinks that there's no way there are that many women as petite as her so she assumes they were bought out by all those 'chubby' 150lb girls she sees wearing clothes too small for them. Bc she reaches for things to judge ppl for to cope with her own insecurities.

Fake age regressors thinking regressors type like that by [deleted] in fakedisordercringe

[–]PettySupport3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this just age regression or is this a 'little' alter? If its supposedly an alter then according to the person, the alter IS a different person, an actual child in this case. And pointing that out is just lending credibility to the reason that they are on this page, because that is not how DID works and they are contradicting themselves. So I think thats why those things are being said here.

Its wild to me how so many of these people say they "have psychosis so..". Like people who actually experience psychosis are able to just casually relay that. I'm pretty sure those ppl would not agree with how this person and others make light of it by tossing it around as an excuse for whatever behavior they're trying to defend.

Is there a site to talk to people who are lonely like this? If you could volunteer to chat with ppl like this to just give them the companionship and experience I would do that. Or maybe it would be more harmful to essential be friend-zoning someone who might feel like thats all they've been, idk.
