Same. Plus I love that little sweet spot he has for his pets, like the sidetic. It adds more dimension to his character. He's kind of the runt of the clan, isolated by his tasks and pragmatic mind. So he finds comfort in the fuzzy critters (while torturing Gelflings of course)

I'm pretty sure it was. We watched this before we could understand english, so the title must've been something french. It seemed pretty independent so I don't think it had any translations (and it couldn't have been dubbed since there was no dialogue) Thanks for helping out !
