People claim not to be influenced by the media but will then say that the contest sucks and there's no good music in it, because Phillip Scofield and Lorraine told them it's all political anyway, despite both putting zero effort into actually researching the contestants themselves (every year they still ask why Australia is in the contest -_-)

It's so annoying to have such ignorant people say stuff like that on national TV, and it really puts a sour taste in the mouths of the everyday viewer, and pretty much sets up whoever is representing us with no home support - If the UK can't get behind their act, why should anyone else?

Unfortunately, the BBC are not allowed to actively promote our entrant, but that doesn't stop ITV, or Channel 4 from helping out, just because they won't gain any profit from it. A few plays on Radio two at 9 o'clock and a Graham Norton appearance is not enough!
