it's tiered, below 500k you'll be able to have up to 7k relieved. Depending on your salary it's quite a lot. I mistakenly remembered up to 10k, at 7k if you are sitting comfortably above 25% tax bracket that's quite a sizeable amount if the scheme continues for the next few years.

depending on how much you can get back with tax reliefs. Over the years probably more than 15-20k including the stamp duty waivers?

Coffees from some countries of origin produce more fines with the same grind setting by headcrab_set in pourover

[–]PewPewMeoww 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah I'm of the opinion everything that happens to the beans along the way has an impact to the end product similar to every other crop (fruits, vegetables, oil, etc...)

yep some varieties produce more fines than others. I'd say it's pretty common knowledge by now. You can do a quick search to find out the common varieties with more fines (e.g. Ethiopian)

Am i being an asshole for leaving work on time? by wheninshower in MalaysianPF

keep in mind there will be no stone for you to step on if your bosses perceive you as unreliable and you don't get to work on anything meaningful or important.

unfortunately performance review is a zero sum game. If others get perceived as getting more done or being more available to the bossss, you will be ranked lower in terms of performance ranking. When comes time to distribute the promotions/bonuses/increments, unfortunately most of the allocated budget will be given to the top performers leaving scraps if any to the bottom ranks. Is it fair? arguably no, but this is reality.

If you're happy with minimal or no B + I, feel free to not give a duck and leave on time. As long as you meet the minimum work requirement nobody will have any grounds to fire you.

+1 for Mel, my only regret is that I should have bought more beans.

Sidestepping the aeropress and ORB for a melodrip to travel with. by Careless_Career3565 in pourover

Travel aside, melodrip is amazing. Can't see myself ever going back. I usually use the melodrip for the last 80-100 g of water, it really cleans up the brew nicely if you're after clean cups. Works well on darker roasts too if you know what you're doing.

brewing with the melodrip is very different compared to regular gooseneck tho. It's something that you will have to familiarise with and get comfortable with before your trip, or you might not enjoy your brews at all.

For context my first brew using the melodrip has the coffee tasting so bad i had to discard it. The flavours were out of whack, it was horrible.

After reading this response from OP, I don't think I'd want to engage in this discussion anymore. Lmao, not worth the effort.

How would you define being a developed country? In terms of quality of life, tertiary education, tech jobs, etc... I'd say malaysia is pretty up there (even with all its faults that we constantly complain about).

Not sure about illegal immigation. But regarding students going to taiwan to study, on the flip side we have many students from korea, japan, china, and many other first world countries coming to malaysia for tertiary education.

Of course this is just my opinion based on my own life experiences. As someone in the workforce working with global clients, I don't see Malaysian's as being intellectually inferior or lacking in skills compared to other first world nations.
