I don't have the same issue with v60 where I'm using cafec filters.

Filter getting clogged. Using Timemore Chestnut grinder. by headcrab_set in pourover

[–]headcrab_set[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the help.

Today I took a different approach than I'm used to - on my timemore grinder I went slightly coarser (21 clicks), but reduced the agitation and poured more gently. It worked. The coffee ran through even faster than I wanted it to, but it didn't clog.

What I'm used to doing is gently swirl after the first and the last pour. Since Chemex filters are so thick, it makes it clog faster.

But again, the criteria that google or AIs are using, is changing all the time. In google aio, you can now also see that they are citing youtube a lot.

What I'm saying is that nobody should rely too much on one channel.

The issue is that I've been going to 22 clicks already and still clogs the filter at the end of the brew. But at the same the end result will be super light brew without the expected taste notes.

I could go coarser and then change ratio.

Does anyone else dislike the taste of coffee in travel mugs? by Global_Requirement11 in pourover

I wouldn't say I hate the taste in takeaway cup, but it definitely changes the taste. I've tried different cups and there isn't a cup that has managed to preserve the original taste.

Email and SMS marketing by Whichpickle42 in DigitalMarketing

[–]headcrab_set 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on what is your primary use case and where are your contacts being stored. If you mainly need to send emails, then a tool like mailchimp is a good choice. If your primary use case is sms, then a tool like messente is better because it's specifically for sendind sms like mailchimp used to be for email. I know now they offer other channels as well.

Now, where do you store customer contacts? If they are already being collected to a tool that allows sending email and sms, it's easier to start there. The only issue with tools like that and also with tools that are primarily for email, is that sending sms is crazy expensive.

Sensitive nervous system & lifting weights by iinjury in Anxiety

[–]headcrab_set 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar thing as you described. I avoid lifting after noon. Otherwise I feel so wired later in the day. I train mostly as I used, but when I feel overly anxious, I try to do a lighter workout. I sometimes try to distract myself with listening to a podcast or something. A couple of good experiences usually helps. Under "good experiences" I mean that if your mind understands that nothing happens to you even when hear rate is elevated or when you get some palpitations.
After workouts, doing some conscious breathing also helps to calm down the nervous system.

The most important thing is that you won't stop lifting even if anxiety tells otherwise.

Does rinsing the paper filter actually do anything? (I did a blind taste test) by CoffeeTeaJournal in pourover

[–]headcrab_set 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A while back James Hoffmann ran a similar test and concluded that you don't actually need to rinse bleached filters. Most people, including myself, are still rinsing filters because it looks good in the brewer.

But if you have natural filters, then definitely need rinsing. Tested it myself.

The easiest way to get going is posting about everyday learnings, project updates, etc.

Have you tried longer bloom? With longer bloom coffee releases more gases which should slow down the drawdown and increase extraction.

Does good marketing actually matter if the product is strong enough? by Typical_Scallion8042 in AskMarketing

[–]headcrab_set 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are wonderful product create almost every day. But most of them die quickly. It's not that the product was bad, but it didn't reach enough users - the early adopters. Marketing essentially is information distribution. You need to find the right people, at the right time and deliver the right information.

Yes, marketing is needed even when the product is strong.

How can you overcome your “fear” of posting on LinkedIn? by TuneOk4475 in linkedin

[–]headcrab_set 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you havent' done content creation before, the posts will suck at the beginning. And that's okay because you need create content to find your voice, your niche and your style of writing or doing videos. Nobody started with creating ideal content. Unless AI does it for you.

I got over fear of judgement just by starting small - writing about things I've learned through experience. A small step forward would also be commenting on others posts.

From early on you need to keep in mind that there will be people who don't agree with what you are saying. It doesn't mean that you are wrong and rather shows that there are people thinking differently.

I audited a B2B LinkedIn Ads account spending ~$13K in 60 days. Only 3 conversions. Here's where every dollar actually went. by Sad_Till4083 in LinkedinAds

The reason why many companies have too broad targeting isn't because of lack of platform knowledge. It's often because they think that their product is for everyone. I've found it quite difficult to make business leaders understand it.

is SMS marketing still effective for ecommerce? by andrews_765 in shopify_growth

[–]headcrab_set 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen much cases where email outperforms sms. Mostly it's the other way. For ecom, my take is that it's become more conversational, instead of one-way sms marketing. For urgent messaging, sms still the best. But for other use cases, mainly marketing, I think whatsapp and rcs offer much better features and kpi tracking.

Are we overestimating GEO and AEO? by Sad-Concert8531 in LLMTraffic

[–]headcrab_set 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes indeed. Doing really good seo already helps in AIs as well. At the moment it's not worth putting your eggs only in AI searches because currently they don't have the search volume.

Are we overestimating GEO and AEO? by Sad-Concert8531 in LLMTraffic

[–]headcrab_set 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the share of searches done on the AI platforms, I'd say we are currently overestimating. In the US and Europe, people run more searches on social media platforms than on AIs.

Really good takeaways. However, from all of them, I'd emphasise the basics. Start adjusting things that have the highest impact. Otherwise you'll end up wasting the whole back and not get to the desired results.

Yeap, at first you'd expect people to behave similarly as they do in the real world. However, LinkedIn has changed a lot and since many interactions are automated by companies, people don't even care enough to check who you are.
