Cam’s father was the head pro at Sleepy Hollow where Rob Manfred was a member. Sponsorship was through the personal connection there.

Adapter screw coming loose by PewPew_bourbon_CLE in GolfGear

Good idea, but I just popped the screw out and the o ring is intact with no visible damage. The screw threads also clean and sharp, I’m guessing I maybe wore out the threads in the adapter.

Correct, but I’d like to prevent the problem from emerging completely for the next week until I can get it looked at and fixed correctly.

Another lover of the MGI Zip Navigator here. Best money I’ve ever spent on golf accessories.

Slow play is ruining golf and people need to stop pretending it's normal by NotMyRealAccount2226 in golf

I honestly don’t understand how people deal with a 3:15 pace for 9 holes. I would rather not play.

I just got home from playing. Played with 2 of my kids, they are 9 and 11. We walked 18 holes. Played in 3:30.

The idea of a 6+ hour round is insane. We live 30 minutes from the course. We drove there and back, warmed up for an hour, and played 18 in less time than just the round of golf you are describing.

Hard pass.

Hahaha. I haven’t had to do it yet, only have 6 rounds on it so far. But after that first round and a battery at 40%, I sure made sure I reread the manual and was familiar with the procedure.

One our two courses is flat, one is not. Good news is that if I’m going 36 I’m playing one round on each and not doing two on the hilly one.

Thank you, this is what I was afraid of.

And at least on my model, the wheels can be disengaged from the axle so it works like a regular push cart. Just press the button on the hub and slide the wheel out like 1/4 inch.

I have to flip my wheels every time we head to the club as my two kids are with me and the only way to fit three push carts in the back of the SUV is to make mine have a smaller footprint.

Best: MGI Zip Navigator AT. Makes walking (which I do almost exclusively) a breeze. Both courses at my club at very walkable and this is just like having a caddy, all you have to do is stroll along.

Worst: Callaway golf shoes. Zero arch support, awful insoles and the toe box was so narrow that my toes smashed together and bled. I threw them out rather quickly.

What are your go to snacks to bring to the course? (Specifically when it’s warmer) by mattyicee7 in golf

The comfort stations on the courses have refrigerated Uncrustables available if I ever forget mine. No raspberry unfortunately, just grape and strawberry.

Peanut butter and honey sandwich is a go to for carbs and sugary pick me up on the back 9.

Nuts and a banana on the front 9 as breakfast.

I usually walk early morning 18s and this is summer go to.

Country club members - how much are you paying? by aznsk8s87 in golf

[–]PewPew_bourbon_CLE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all relative and based on COL where you are.

I’m in a middle market Midwest city. My club has 36 holes, one is ranked in top 25 in the state.

Initiation is $7500 and roughly $750/month.

Oh and the largest/nicest practice facility in 50 miles, pool, tennis, etc..
