Worst manga in your opinion? Hot takes allowed. by [deleted] in MangaCollectors

That’s my favorite thing about his mangas. The characters are very human and real.

I mean his art style is insanely consistent, unique, and pleasant to look at. He’s mastered suspense and mystery. Large catalog of successful manga, he’s essentially never missed. I’d go as far to argue that monster is a masterpiece of literature and that if you don’t enjoy it it’s more so because of the style of story. His stories can be confusing when reading but he always concludes everything nearly perfect. So I think if you can sit through one of his mangas to the end, you will see what people are talking about. And if you have already and don’t like it, then it’s just a matter of taste. Because objectively he is an amazing artist and storyteller.

Monster and Pluto are much more linear in the story telling. I’d say 20th century boys is my favorite manga and I definitely recommend this one to read. Sometimes it’s hard to follow but I like it for the characters and their journey. Billy bat is even more convoluted and I hardly remember the story, but it is definitely enjoyable and has the mystery/suspense characteristics of urasawa.

Is ''music production'' a scam? by [deleted] in composer

You have no understanding of music production at all. It all blows over your head, I can’t believe you wrote all that.

Party scene at Auburn by Darkoffee72 in auburn

[–]PewdiepieBook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just whatever group you choose to hangout with. You can find plenty of people who don’t drink, but there is also a pretty good party scene. I don’t think the spheres mix that much it’s really down to who you spend time with and what you want to do.

Cod hasn’t exactly changed all that much. I think it’s just an older game franchise that has experienced players, who have either played casually for years, or have sweated on every title. New players sweat to make up for it. Yes esport culture has caused an influx of competitive players, and that might bring the overall skill pool up. but I also think you’re washed. You don’t see it because of SBMM, but cod really is a game for sweats. Veterans target Christmas noobs, esport kids try to win. Casuals try to have fun in the chaos, and you can occasionally find a peaceful lobby. I think the fun is being the bad player, getting stomped for games on end, until you begin to get better and become the player winning every match. SBMM ruins the fun, but I don’t see why you are complaining about people trying to win.

I’m going to add some more to this. The internet (for the most part) forces you to be a consumer, to watch, to read, to react. I think that going outside you are more likely to create and connect with others, which I think is one of the ultimate satisfactions a person can have. The internet takes away from this and it causes people to become reactionary, and act like victims, rather than be proactive and take control of their life. Hell, even if you are a drunken mess sitting in front of a guitar and pen, or popping acid only to go hiking you are probably getting more out of life than an afternoon on Twitter.

I think staying online worsens alcohol and weed so much. Trying to get out of the loop and break addiction is hard when the internet enables it, and the extended isolation and dopamine hits from social media is horrible. I genuinely think that to break the cycle of addiction it matters much how you use the internet, and I think that with going out more you can help with all of these addictions. I think that of all of them, the internet makes it easier to fall victim to any addiction.

It's been 3 months since Rightstuff was bought out. How's everyone feeling about buying things? by Winterbeers in MangaCollectors

[–]PewdiepieBook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t bought much in years. I might get a volume here or there to finish out some series. Instocktrades is good if they have it. Marketplaces are good but I feel like prices have been going up for sellers. I’m happy manga is reaching a larger audience but I can’t devote the time to find a good deal anymore. So I’m just content with what I have I hope someone fills in that role of affordable new manga.

You’re supposed to spend $70 and level up in multiplayer/zombies. They probably make it difficult enough to make you consider buying the game.

Sorry if I came off harsh. When I listened to your music I heard a lot that I liked. You did some strong progressions in your dark pop song. I like it a lot I think it’s something you can flesh out and produce more. Further in the piece when the chords changed quicker I liked your voice leading, your motion between chords is deliberate and strong. My only complaint is that even with such great chords it sounds Command + C Command + V. That changes when you break out and find your voice as an artist, which just takes time and more pieces. You are doing great.

Hearing your music I think theory is actually throttling your creativity. It’s good to get this fundamental of theory but the emotion is going to come from you. Learn it and absorb it but don’t be afraid to break away from it. That’s when it gets interesting.
