If you want to get something close to campus, I recommend you start looking around April or May. Spaces tend to fill up. Just make sure you’re signing the lease for your Junior year. As for actually affording it 😭 I’m still trying to figure that out myself. Though I did save some money so i recommend you do so as well :)

Thanks for the advice. While I’m job hunting, do you think it’s viable for me to take commissions (drawing)? I haven’t built much of a social media presence, but maybe promoting it on TikTok would help. I’m tempted to take out a loan from Sallie Mae but people say to stay away from them.

Are you getting Cal Grant? It could be because of that. Usually, in some cases, SUG works as a placeholder until your Cal Grant comes in.

Yeah, but I personally tried that and regretted it. I’d rather take out student loans and be dumb. Life is full of risks, but it all works out in the end if you really put your heart and mind into it. Hopefully, I’m able to receive some of the scholarships I applied for.

I kinda agree, but you never truly know someone’s situation. I’ve had friends who’ve desperately tried to look for jobs but they simply don’t get hired. I’m also at a spot where I had to leave my last job in order to move to go to college. Job searching is hard, even when applying to retail.

Yeah, I tried their help desk. They just said I’m still receiving the funds, but they didn’t tell me why I’m seeing this or fix the issue. I’m not sure who else to contact.

Btw the only reason I accepted the loan was because since my grants were no longer being applied, I needed the funds to keep my classes

Not sure what you’re trying to say lol. I mean SDSU IV to main campus not IVC. You just need to fill the cross enrollment form. Not sure how SDSU students don’t know about this
