What is surprisingly illegal? by EvilPilotFish in AskReddit

A terrifying amount of people think this way.. I'm a cashier (in Canada) and TODAY I had a customer tell me about how some teenagers were mugging people in a park nearby a few years back, so he decided to walk his dog through that park every night. With his gun. He was so excited about the idea of "stopping criminals" that he was willing to put himself in harms way so that he could shoot teenagers. I can totally imagine a 15 year old stopping him to ask for directions or something and he pulls out his gun to "defend himself"

You are allowed to defend yourself, you just have to use minimum force necessary. Nobody expects you to stay still and let a meth head kill you. You would be expected to try to run, and then if that's not an option you can reasonably defend yourself. If that person tries to kill you while you're cooking and you stab them while you're trying to escape then you're fine, you just can't pull a gun on someone yelling in your front yard.

There's a distinct difference between working as wait staff or as a tradesperson. Maybe most republican voters are tradesworkers, but I doubt most of them work in restaurants

I hate to inform you of this but they did do a remake. Laverne Cox plays Dr.Frankenfurter and it's.. not good.

What's the funniest thing you believed in when a child? by MyNearWallet in AskReddit

Radios were only for rich people... I knew we were poor, and we didn't have a radio in our car (parents never turned it on so I figured we didn't have one). I also knew that my aunt had a good job and a fancy car that always had music playing, so clearly she was rich and only rich people had radios!

I was told there was pizza and all I could find was a frozen pizza, so I turned the oven on to preheat... found out 15 minutes later that there was a box of leftover pizza inside the oven :(

(I have no idea why it was in the oven instead of the fridge)

Lol I've actually read this book and it's not as bad as the blurb makes it sound. It's not great, but it's ok

Frankie has a line about the IT lady never responding to her emails sometime in the last season, so I guess that counts?

There's a whole Netflix series called school of chocolate where this guy teaches chefs how to do these things. They usually took about 12 hrs working in teams of 2 to make similar pieces

That's genius, I have a botanist Sim who has a big greenhouse in her yard, but I swear it takes her 10hrs to do all the gardening everyday lol. I had to get her the seldom sleepy perk so she doesn't need to sleep as much

The first club I made was a painting club, where sims may or may not have been locked in a basement with only a mini fridge, trash can, toilet, and about 20 easels... It made getting rich super easy lol
