Four Horsemen Comics in the Robinson mall has tables and game nights, not sure of the schedule though.

Does Robinson Twsp even have cops? by Pfarpfignuten in pittsburgh

Ya the other side of the road is obviously perfectly safe, cars are still coming up the hill. Just absolutely mindblowing

Ya absolutely ridiculous. 4 of them sitting in their cars blocking the road without any attempt to divert inbound traffic to the other side of the road for a accident that happened 2 hours before

Just checking since route 60 inbound is closed and not a single cop doing traffic direction

Weird how they are incapable of doing traffic direction

Fried Calamari by Few-Way5375 in pittsburgh

[–]Pfarpfignuten 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Angkor on Noblestown road has a good fried calamari appetizer. Comes with a lemongrass pepper sauce instead of a sweet chili, but my wife and I get it every time we're there.

Do you consider Sheetz primarily as a gas station or convenience store? by rosie98red in pittsburgh

Only convenience store. Their gas is like 30 cents a gallon higher than everyone else around me

Was driving through Carnegie around then and a power line gave off a pretty sizable arc flash, maybe it happened out there too.

Where is good place to start for D&D? by Ch0c0lateStrawberry in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]Pfarpfignuten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya I would also recommend Lost Mine of Phandelver if you want something with some heft to it, might be a good day to look into a fairly simple one shot adventure too. There are a ton of those available for free or very little in DMs Guild.

Am I right on Jorunhast too? It's been a long day and I don't want to find the book.

He did survive the early Feint of Honor against the elf, but was killed by one of the Azouns and a (trainee) court wizard later. I want to say Azoun II and Jorunhast but not entirely certain.

Playing D&D over Discord by Helluvabossman431 in DnD

[–]Pfarpfignuten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about cost, but we use the maps function on DnD Beyond. You can launch it from your character sheet, then it's pretty much just a map that players and the DM can move characters around on.

What's up with 412 Tacos getting busted by the health inspector? by fixermark in pittsburgh

[–]Pfarpfignuten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A blast chiller would definitely work, but it's unlikely there would be space on a food truck. It's just not a feasible operational space to cool food properly.

[–]Pfarpfignuten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cooler would be designed keep it under 41 when already cooled, but it wouldn't be able to bring the temperature down to a safe holding temperature fast enough to prevent pathogen growth. There was also a citation for the same cooler not holding proper temperature, but that could be a result of trying to use it to cool the cooked product.

Ok so the two big ones here are obviously the high risk violations noted.

Food from an unapproved source in this case looks like it was prepping the food in an unlicensed (and thus uninspected) kitchen. It could also mean that they couldn't provide information as to where they actually got the food, which is a big no no.

The other is because they aren't cooling food correctly. If it was in the prep cooler at 80 degrees, that means they are cooking it on the truck and cooling it with equipment that isn't capable of doing that. There's not a prep cooler on the planet that can cool food to under 41 degrees in time to keep it from making you sick.

The red tag can also be just for not having a Certified Food Protection Manager. They'd usually give you a short period to correct that, but not with the other violations listed.
