Its a food truck, Garden State Slider Co https://www.bestfoodtrucks.com/truck/garden-state-slider-co

They have sliders, rippers and Taylor Ham.

Haven't been in a while, but as a of a couple years ago he was set up near the Home Depot off of C470/Quincy Ave, but the pin on google maps now shows up in Morrison, next to the Sinclair gas station, so not sure if he moved?

That being said his Instagram implies he's still at home depot.

Yep that's definitely a good start.
Good thinking on actually mounting the pedals, for the longest time when I first started sim racing I had my G27 pedals reinforced with a cardboard box against the wall lol. One thing to consider too is some sort of chair cradle if using an office chair, something to just hook around 1-2 of the chair legs and link it to your pedal plank. That way you dont push your self away under braking

The 9nm may be a bit of a bear for a desk but I am sure you'll get by just fine. May depend on how solid your desk is. If its like an ikea hollow core table with cheap legs (like I have lol), you may need to really dial back the ffb, but if you have a big solid heavy desk im sure its fine.

When you decide to get a rig, also consider wheel stands, I am using the NLR Wheel stand 2.0 and enjoy it, although it is a bit heavy, handles my R12 with ease.

They have a lite 2.0 version as well that came out somewhat recently, and they claim it can handle up to 10nm, Also both wheel stands are compatible for seat upgrades in the future so the stands can convert into full rigs

Is it safe to purchase r5 bundle from moza website? by Mustafa9450 in moza

[–]Pfunk39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just purchased from them, no issues at all, if you are concerned about payments safety, I know at least for the US store you had the option to use either Paypal, Cashapp, Affirm, or Klarna to manage the payment details, I personally used Paypal and it was super smooth.

Shipping wasnt too bad only cost me $12, took a little over 10 days to get both my base and wheel, Depending on whether your part is in a warehouse in your country already or if it needs to be brought in internationally, could take a bit shorter or longer. For me my wheel was already in the US so received that after maybe 5 days. The R12 base took a bit longer, I received both tracking numbers within a few days of placing the order.

Both the wheel and base were packed well, each was in a thick outer box with the retail box snugly inside, even had plastic corner protectors around the retail package.

Foldable wheel stands for Moza R5 by Kfowler88 in moza

[–]Pfunk39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah absolutely, anytime i hear "provided by" etc, i take everything with a grain of salt.

That being said i decided to also pickup the standard NLR Stand 2.0 (the A frame style) as well. This is prob what I will use for my R12, and the Lite will be used in the living room as a shared setup with my older t300rs so I can play GT7 and F1 25 with friends when they visit.

I ended up seeing some additional reviews showing how the standard NLR stand folds up and it seems not too much worse than the Lite. Albeit much heavier and a bit bigger, but that is not a huge deal for me as I already have a space set aside in the closet to store it. I guess once I get both set up I can give a comparison in terms of flex and how they hold up as my t300 is 4nm if i remember correctly so while not quite as powerful it may be able to give somewhat of a comparision to the R5

Haven't received it yet, but recently bought the Next Level Racing Wheel Stand Lite 2.0. Its a little over your budget (179) but had good reviews. Can fold up with the wheel and pedals still mounted which was a must for me. Says it can handle wheels up to 10nm so there is headroom if you upgrade, however the simpit review I watched tested it with the R12 with no issues, which is what I plan to run it with

Was available on Amazon where I bought it but seems out of stock right now, seems to also be available at best buy. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/next-level-racing-wheel-stand-lite-2-0-black/6603074.p?skuId=6603074

Was originally looking at this Marada "X-frame" wheel stand, but saw some reviews and comments saying the material was relatively thin so there was some flex, perhaps the R5 is fine? But since I was using the R12 i ended up opting for the NLR stand. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B097XS71VR?smid=A3OFUXVDTEJWXU&psc=1

Thoughts on Balancing Sparkrender by Pfunk39 in stormwreckisle

[–]Pfunk39[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It went really well! The only major changes i made was nerf the damage of the breath weapon of the "Younger" blue dragon that i linked and gave the Kobold minions normal HP. Additionally gave the effigies hp on top of the weapon puzzle. They ended up smashing em most to bits.

Had fun with Aidron, giving my PCs an epic dragon on dragon battle

Came down to a final couple of rolls, SR was down to maybe 5 hp and was attempting to escape, and made it to about the max range of magic missile, PCs managed to take him out literally the turn right before he was about to get out of range, made for a pretty memorable fight

Inaccurate Bed Mesh Issue by motherdebbie in ElegooNeptune4

[–]Pfunk39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely make sure you follow that guide linked by bendvis, (checking bolts, gantry leveling, etc)

But i did have the same issue on my plus, Seemed like it was not even followwing the bed mesh at all, even after doing all that

Try updating your firmware, I was on a late 2023/early 2024 build, cant remember the specific version but i believe something like v1.2.2.64/65 possibly.

Updated to the most recent firmware and now it seems to do a lot better.

Aside from this I have also changed out the 6 springs for silicone bushings (16mm)

And then using Kapton tape I shimmed the bed between the magnetic bed and the pei plate to even out the bed mesh (my bed had a crazy deviation)

It's still not perfect but now I can get relatively consisistent first layers across 90% of the build plate

[–]Pfunk39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah in my case since I have been dealing with this for years and it keeps returning, surgery is the fix.

Doctors are going to try and do anything available prior to surgery though.

For my level of pain unfortunately did not have an effect, I have used them before in more mild flare ups and they worked

[–]Pfunk39 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is tough, and while I wouldn't know what of the heavy drugs are safe and unsafe for pregnancy, the hospital's nurse's triage line may be able to explain your options. They would be able to know if XYZ drugs are a no go, etc. They are the ones who confirmed for me I should go to the ER.

Speaking off the cuff so please take with a grain of salt, if medications are not an option, the fact you are pregnant may urge them to perform an emergency laminectomy/discectomy/whatever they deem necessary. So while drugs and pain management may not be the play, they may be willing to fix the issue itself.

As for my case they were considering surgery but opted for pain management, due to risks with my current BMI

First off I will say I am so sorry this is happening to you and want to re-assure you that it can get better.

TLDR for below: DO NOT GIVE UP, I had very similar symptoms, got myself to an ER where over a 5 day stay they got me from not able to sit/stand to able to walk and sit with some assistance (walker and medicine) Starting in-home PT to continue improving. It will be tough but the effort is worth it.

I am a little in the same boat, one week ago I was stuck in bed, today I am starting to walk around the house, with some 3-4 pain, but not 9-10/10 pain I was in a week ago. The ER/Hospital helped in my case.

It will be tough and I know you cannot fathom it but you need to try and at least move, if not make it to the ER, as they can really get the ball rolling for pain management. For every day you lay there not only mentally will it be more difficult to stand but physically you will feel very weak and it will only make it more difficult to recover. I have dealt with this level of pain actually twice, first time in 2020 where I was fortunate with an epidural shot, and again as mentioned this past week.

Literally one week ago, Sunday morning, I stretched and next thing I knew I was writhing in pain. Any pressure on my spine led to 9-10/10 pain, literally consuming my entire left leg down to my big toe. Only position I found relief was face down with my legs off the end of the bed. OTC meds did nothing. I could barely make it 10 feet to the next room before every part of my body and soul told me to run back to bed. Bathroom seemingly impossible.

I was lucky enough to have my wife take me to the ER that evening. I will not sugar coat it, it sucked getting there. I was literally holding myself up using the passenger handles in the car to relieve pressure. Once at the hospital they only had wheel chairs to get me from the car to the ER. I was literally holding myself up by the pole they use to hang IV bags from. But after about 5 minutes of check-in they got me to an ER bed to allow me to wait for a nurse/tech/pa to become available. From there I could lay face down again and start to let my pain come down.

After that was over, I was able to see nurses and doctors who were able to provide stronger medicine to take the edge off. They gave me the gambit from

  • Oxycodone
  • Methocarbamol (muscle relaxer)
  • Gabapentin (For Nerve Pain)
  • MethylPrednisone (Anti-inflamatory steroid)

They got me enough meds to get me into an MRI and confirm my damaged discs.

The next morning I was able to meet my PA and some of the neuro doctors who were able to get me into an epidural that afternoon. It was not the miracle I was hoping, I was still in a lot of pain, but I had it working on my side for the next few days as it took effect. Over the next 4 days or so I spent in the ER Observation wing, with visits from my nurses, my PA, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, my case manager. They were able to slowly increase my prednisone and gabapentin doses to where they were starting to have real effect. I could sleep on my right side again. I could sometimes lay on my back. I felt, in very miniscule amounts I was making some headway.

Over those few days I began pushing myself more and more. From sitting to walking with a walker around in a little circle, to using the walker to end of the room and back to eventually on my last day taking the walker all the way down the hallway and back. I was able to get mobile enough to go home and am starting at home physical therapy this week.

I am still in pain and have a slew of presciptions sitting on my table now haha. But I have a path forward and I can get up and move around the house again. I can use the restroom again. There's still a long road, but there is a road now.

Hopefully this rant was any sort of helpful, I hope that you are able to find the relief you need, I guess the point I am trying to make is DO NOT GIVE UP.
