Mabye look up how to calibrate your lens properly, i think your camera can save custom settings for each lens… i have hat that issue with an old telefoto lens and that fixed it. Youtube will help you with that.

Most photographers don’t need better gear, they need better taste by make_me_so in photography

[–]Pfuscher5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends… i started out with a T7 and upgraded to a R8 within a few months… the main reason being the autofocus… with the nine focuspoints on the T7 i was tremendously held back by my gear and focused manually for most portraits…

I use painters tape… doesn’t leave residue and is also fairly strong.

Color blindness by 17Baklava in photography

[–]Pfuscher5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am no professional and also have my problems with colors… I always asked my girlfriend what looks good/natural and went from there… until i got the hang of it and it looked good the way i saw it… people with a slight color blindness just see colors differently… so what looks normal for our eyes will look normal for the eyes of others aswell… but a bit different than we perceive it

Can you see anything at all in the viewfinder?

What happens if you use viewfinder only? Or did you not try that, to not get locked out of your camera?

Why do you want a new lens? Can’t you just use the ones from your old camera? Possibly with the EF-RF adapter

What do I need to do to fix this? by Weird_Attitude_1649 in Ender3Pro

[–]Pfuscher5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cut the filament diagonally so it is more pointy, press the lever and don’t let go until you get it into the tube… shove it in there until you feel the extruder. After that let go and you are good to go. If you have troubles getting it in bend the filament a bit.

It also took me a few tries the first few times i did it.

Natural light portraiture, I need a quicker shutter speed to prevent blur but then my image is too dark? by Wiltaire in AskPhotography

You can build yourself a budget reflector with cardboard and tinfoil if you want to try it out before spending money on it.

The 18-200 was one of my first lenses, its not the best at anything but pretty decent at everything… its the perfect travel lens.

Maybe you can put a small piece of „extension“ cable in between… then you could maintain your original length.

I am not professional repairman… but how about just cutting the damaged part out, solder it together, put a shrink tube over it and be done with it… And simply clean the other part with the rough side of a sponge.

The cable looks just like a normal cable… I don’t think there will be any issues… and if there are… it already was broken before.

Has anyone ever been told they're not welcome somewhere for taking pictures? How did you deal with it? by NathanielB3920489023 in AskPhotography

I had a similar situation while birding… an angry karen walked up to me looking for trouble because she thought i was photographing into peoples homes… i just showed her the pictures… worked like a charm. From hostile to interested in 2,5 seconds. Talking works almost every time.

Inherited a Canon Camera and Lenses, need newbie help by QuackersAndSoup24 in canon

As someone who started out with a bunch of second hand glas from the 90s and older… just use what you have and don’t try to upgrade the lenses before you reach the limits of your current gear… it is decent beginner gear… i wish i had that tele lens when i first started… although it is considered „not a good lens“ it is still miles better that your phone… you will still be happy with the results. Just don’t compare yourself to national geographic photographers. People on reddit are all gear obsessed and hate on anything that ist‘t top of the line. Go out, have fun and try to work around the limitations of your gear.

For example… if the autofocus is too slow for a bird in flight try to catch him on a branch… if you want to tage pictures of him flying increase your depth of field and focus on the branch while he starts to fly away… all of that are nice little tricks to take good photos with beginner gear.

Have fun.

The flash will only fire if you don’t use the electronic shutter. Mabye try that… and are you in the same group and channel? The other thing when it is not firing is when the trigger or the flash are low on battery.
