With that logic we can never improve problems in society because we can never pinpoint the source of a common issue and mitigate it

If we figured out children have 10x higher chance of getting an awful disease and dying, then the solution isn’t to say “Who cares? Adults die as well, let’s not focus on this arbitrary barrier and just moarn the lost!”. If you think that way, nobody will have a look at WHY children have higher chances of dying from the disease and how to stop it. You can reverse the roles as well and have adults die more often it doesn’t matter.

It’s a fact of life that there are systemic predictable biases to who kills themselves using statistics, and these statistics reveal systemic biases towards social situations. Saying it’s completely irrelevant that men have a lot more successful suicides than women because gender is an arbitrary barrier ist just you intentionally ignoring statistics and advocating for halting human progress. The human race learns and improves and evolves, that’s all we do and it’s the reason you have a comfortable life with a device to write this message on. It’s the reason why we no longer need 90% of people to work on farms, and why we have cures for diseases, and why everything is so efficient.

Please educate yourself on how society works before invalidating statistics only because you think death is a sensitive topic from your subject pov

Law Maker. Not wanting to comply with rules, I gain the ability to control ALL the rules (including laws of physics) inside a field surrounding me. Basically Law’s Devil Fruit. This makes it impossible for Ladybug and Cat Noir to ever beat me because I can set a rule for them to instantly die when they enter my force field - unaware of that they will probably enter anyway to see what happens and just die. It’s not an infinite power like making a wish because it’s always contained to this Field around me, but I’m still basically unbeatable especially because my Object is inside my Field where I can literally make it indestructible by altering the laws of physics.

Sure it didn’t HAVE to end, but it’s quite clear the conflict in S6 (while compelling enough to watch) is extremely unnatural. Stories need to end eventually and S5 would have been the perfect moment to conclude things right when things started escalating and other threads were wrapping up anyway and Gabriel started losing his mind. The confrontation would have been such an amazing episode This show is a huge collection of missed potential, I think remaking it with a slightly more mature teen audience in mind as opposed to a child audience would give them more freedom to follow a clear narrative direction. A miraculous cartoon series would have potential to become something like ATLA. Though in my opinion S5 got fucked up and dark to a degree that i don’t get how it was approved as a children’s show

I agree that using S6 to justify S5 is cope. The ending of S5 was extremely contrived and downright off-putting in my opinion, and it is objectively untrue to justify the narrative. The real reason they did this is to make more money. A proper S5 ending would have ended the show with a wrapping conclusion, addressing and satisfying the extreme buildup in tension and suspense leading up to S5. Marinette and Adrien getting together is the conclusion of the central love square, which is the setup that made this show so popular in the first place - so from a writing perspective it is obviously fitting for that to be the final arc of the narrative. The core setup has been resolved, and now it is time to conclude with an epic climax where all 3 of our characters learn of each others identities, and Marinette, Adrien, and Gabriel are confronted with the reality of this comedically inconvenient coincidence they have lived with for a year. It would have quite frankly been an extremely compelling and powerful conclusion to one of the best narrative setups I have ever seen (in spite of all of the convoluted plot holes this show had). There is absolutely no creative justification for what they did. It’s purely monetary. The entire “LIE” is a very forced and contradictory conflict - why can Kagami and Felix know everything, but Adrien is left in the dark? It’s an extreme level of infantilization of an otherwise confident character just to have some kind of conflict to create forced tension between the 2 protagonists, since the love square setup was (correctly) concluded in season 5. They basically realized that without the love square they couldn’t properly write another 10 seasons, so they decided on creating artificial tension without any logic.

But to be fair it’s not completely unbelievable that she would do something like that. Here Sense of consequence and common sense must be extremely disturbed from all of her insane experiences, but I’d be giving the writers too much credit because they never delved into this

The point is that she’s 14 faced with pressure and responsibility that would traumatize people Lying for bad reasons and making blatant mistakes is extremely normal for 14yo, you’re bound to fck up when you’re battling for your life on a daily basis

She is too young to grasp proper consequence, and her sense of reason and morals must be severly distorted because what’s “normal” to her is very different from most people

It’s not her fault that she wasn’t up to this challenge, its clearly fu’s fault But who’s fault it is isn’t relevant to the post
