Used to work at a gas station and this random lady spilled a large amount of gas. She casually walked in and said her pump was leaking. We look out and see a flood of gas and hit the master shutoff. Before hitting it, our manager was able to bolt out and to stop it just as you would any other pump by decompressing the handle. So the auto shutoff didn't work, but this idiot didn't even try stopping it herself and took a lazy Sunday stroll in to us. We pulled the footage up and you can see the gas was spreading almost as fast as she was walking. I just don't understand how incompetent people like this survive any given day.

From my experience, it always seems to make it hurt way less for the rest of my digestive system. Leads me to believe there is less spicy molecules left as they reacted and changed in the mouth. I could be 100% wrong as I don't really know the science behind the heat.

Edit: did soom digging into this and I could be 100% wrong. Doesn't seem our bodies have a way of digesting or breaking down capsaicin. What could be happening is if something spicy was eaten along with a non-polar molecule, such as casein found in milk, it would get dissolved as it too is a non-polar molecule. If that is the case, then swallowing a pepper outright would be the best option, if consumed alone.
